Wattpad and I have an odd relationship.

A really odd relationship.

We have mixed feelings toward each other. While I usually have to fight the urge to scream my arse off at all the atrocious work I have to read past on this daily website, my love remains (somewhat) unconditional. I just can’t keep myself from coming onto this website every day. It’s like Wattpad is this really sexy guy always beckoning me over, like Ian Somerhalder exemplified in HTML form.

Wattpad and I are like those couples who always bicker, insult one another repeatedly, and then have fabulous make-up sex afterwards.

Yea.

Basically Wattpad is the work of the devil. Not because of its irrepressible sexiness, but because of all the dreadful writing it contains.

Anyway, to ease your minds and assist your writing, I have compiled a book of all stereotypes I have come across on Wattpad since I joined. Some stereotypes are protagonists, some are minor characters, and some are just straight-out repulsive. I suppose you could call this a rant book, but it’s also somewhat of a guide to avoiding clichés.

Before we begin, however, you must understand the difference between archetypes and stereotypes.

Archetypes are like the basis of your character, a foundation which you get to build upon, slowly twisting around so as to create your own original, unique, distinctive, non-cliché, non-stereotypical character.

Stereotypes however…

Ahem.

So, we’ll begin by discussing the… orthodox stereotypes on Wattpad really quickly, but I must warn you, the deeper we delve into the wonderful world of Wattpad, the more repulsive the clichés get. My rants get longer, my words get blunter, and profanity gets a hell lot more vile. There’s a reason this book is rated R.

You have been warned.

hi guyyss so tbh some of the earlier chapters in this thing are kind of sort of just really bleh (honestly can't find the right word to describe them, so bleh will have to do for now) and since i'm a lazy potato i can't be bothered to go back and revise them (i promise i will eventually, though). so until then you should probably skip them lel. or not. do whatever the hell you want lmao i ain't yo momma. k imma shut up now. byee guys!
