Chapter 39

About an hour after Kim leaves Brian finally comes home.

"Where have you been? Work?" I ask while walking into the kitchen.

"Yea, they always call me. I feel like I am always there." he looks around the kitchen and sees the glasses on the table and pop corn bowls, "Did I miss something? Were people over?"

"Yea, Kim was over for a while. Harry had plans or errands. He dropped her off here which I don't get why she didn't just home?" I say as I make quotes with my fingers emphasizing the words 'plans' and 'errands'.

"Are they fighting or something?" Brian asks as he grabs some pop corn.

"I have no idea. It's none of my business." I say and snatch the popcorn from him.

"Hey!"

"Make your own." I say while sticking my tongue out at him and walking away.

~Sunday Morning~

"Oh my gosh. No way!" I say bursting into laughter.

"Yea, and like I just got up and kept walking. I didn't even know what to say I just had a straight face and walked away. I didn't say one word to the girl." Alex tells me. She got knocked down at school by some girl who is over weight while she was walking to class.

"THat's so funny. I would have been so embarrassed though." I say and pick up a glass of water.

*Phone Buzzes*

Hey, can I go over? I'll buy donuts.

Fuck yes! I so didn't want to make breakfast.

"Aye! What kind of donut do you want?" I ask Alex.

"Ummmm, a chocolate bar?"

I quickly text back:

Yes, that's fine. I want a glazed one and Alex wants a chocolate bar.

Kim replies letting me know that she will be here in a bit.

"I thought you were going to make me breakfast Kat?" Oh.

"Yea, I was. I'm just real lazy." I laugh.

"I'll be back.I'm gonna go to the bathroom.

As soon as the bathroom door closes I see Brian walk down the stairs. Shit. Why do I always forget about this kid?

"Good morning Katarina, I heard there was donuts." I laugh.

"Well, you herd wrong. You need to go back up stairs and stay in your room until I text you." I say while pushing him up the stairs.

"Woah, woah, woah. Why do I have to listen to you?" he asks leaning back so I have to carry him.

"Oh my God, your so heavy. Juts go and I'll bring you a donut." 

"Deal." he says and runs up the stairs. I hear a click on the door and I rush to the kitchen.

 "In the kitchen!" I yell hoping Alex hears me.

Alex walks in and we both hear a loud thug from upstairs and I know Brian is fucking around up there now. I'll just pretend I didn't just hear that. I should mess with Alex.

"What the hell was that?" she says in a scared tone.

"What was what?" I say in a calmly matter.

"That loud ass thud. I know you herd that, Kat."

"Herd what? What thud? Stop acting up." I try to hold in my laugh. and pull out my phone while leaning onto the table.
