Recap:

We open the door and every single person from the The Vampire Dairies set is there, from the cast to the crew. I unwrap my arm around Nina's shoulders before going into the crowd, giving Nina a moment to greet everyone. I walk over to the food table to grab drinks for Nina and I when I turn around to see Ian walking upto Nina.

"Hey Nina."

Nina's P.O.V

I hold out my hand and look up at Ian, attempting to smile but instead, quickly upturn my lips and look down, not wanting to make eye contact with the one person I dreaded to see today. He shakes my hand before looking around the room and then back at me.

"So, you're back. Everyone seems happy to see you." I look up to see a huge grin plastered across his face, and his horrendous grey leather hat with a black stripe I remember him wearing to a comic con a few years ago.

"And you aren't?" I cross my arms and decide to look elsewhere, I knew I would have to talk to him but I didn't expect it to last this long.

"We're professionals. We can work this out."

"There's nothing to work out Ian.I'm here for the fans, I'm here for Kevin, I'm here to see all my friends again. But one thing I'm not here for, is to reconcile with you, so I suggest you get out of my way and let me see the people I actually care about." I push him to the side, walking to the opposite side of the room. When I get there, I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"Nina?"

I turn around to see a familiar face, her brown locks curled, half in a bun and half let down, she wore a black choker and her sunglasses were tucked loosely in her red tank top, all this paired with a black and red flowy skirt.

"Kat?" I immediately embrace her, remembering how long it's been since I last saw her. "I missed you so much." I let go of her, reminiscing about old times, Kat had always been there for me, even though she was Ian's best friend, she would always listen to me and never take sides, infact mostly all of the time, she would try to fix what was wrong. Even though most of the times it was impossible.

"I missed you too Nina!" Kat smiles brightly, then knudges my shoulder softly, "I'm mad at you, you know! You hardly ever called or texted."

"I know, I'm sorry. Well hey, it takes two to start a converstion Kat." I wink at her and knudge her softly too, before looking around to find Candice. "Where's-"

"Candice?" Kat's smile disappears as she sighs and lays her drink on the table next to us. "She couldn't come, she and Joe had plans."

"Oh." I can't help but feel upset.  Me and Candice have never got along well but knowing the personality she has, I figured she wouldn't  miss today. "Well I'm going to go find Paul so...I'll see you on set Kat."

"Paul? I saw you arrive with him earlier, anything I need to know?" She wiggles her eyebrows  and knods her head towards the corner of room where Paul is standing. I feel my cheeks  burning up and my ears turning red. I tuck my hair behind my ear and look down, wanting to avoid having this conversation with anyone, especially Kat who was naturally loud, and even louder when she was drunk.

"Nothing okay? We're just friends. Paul's made that very clear." I clear my throat and take a swig of Kat's drink. "Bye Kat." I give her one last hug before going to see Paul.

---------------

"Hey you." I go behind Paul and pinch him in the back.  He jumps out of my reach and nearly drops the drink out of his hand.
