(Week later)
I continued walking a few steps, completley exausted, I collapse from heat exaustion, havent ate, drank or slept in 5 days. Finally, I was at the side of the highway I had to get to.
I felt so proud of myself. I ignored my exaustion and pain, and smiled.
All I have to do is wait.
Hours went by, and no trailer came by.
I started getting worried, but then I noticed that they had to come by eventually. It was their only way back to South Carolina from Las Vegas.
But what if they already passed?
What if it took too long for my ass to get over here??
Was this walk not worth it?!
I lied there.
I opened my bag, and I opened the bear, and took out the picture.
A salty tear fell down my face.
“UGH” I almost throw it from frustration, but I hold onto it.
Was I never gonna see them again?
I was about to lay down and fall asleep from the heat exaustion.
“Its too late..”
I closed my eyes.
“EVEN IF I SAAAAAAY” I hear a random person scream down the highway.
“ITLL BE ALRIGHT”
I get up. I had an instinct to follow it. Exausted or not.
“STILL I HEAR YOU SAAAAY YOU WANT TO END YOUR LIFE”
It sounded EXACTLY like Adam.
I start running towards the sound, and I start singing along with it.
“NOW AND AGAIN WE TRYYYYY TO JUST STAY ALIVE”
“MAYBE WELL TURN IT ALL AROUND CUZ ITS NOT TOO LATE” I scream as loud as I can, to make sure they heard me.
A person peeks out of a doorway of a trailer, and it looks straight at me.
“ITS NEVER TOO LATE” We both sing it together.
I run as fast as I could run, slowly catching up to the trailer, and the person reaches it’s hand out for me.
3 other people pop out, and they all scream and reach their hands out.
“GUYS!!” I keep running, ignoring the extremely bad pain in my legs.
“ASHLEY!!” They all yell out.
“JUMP!! I GOT YOU!” Adam yells out.
I jump, completley trusting him, and he grabs me and drags me into the trailer.
“GUYS!!!!!” I yell out as I fell into everyone’s arms, and they all hug me.
I stank SO bad, but they didnt notice.
“You were SO wrong…” Neil looks at me.
“We ALL needed you..”
I start sobbing happy tears, and I lean into them, my legs hurt so bad I could barley walk.
“I missed you guys SO badly..”
We all sit down, they all notice im in pain.
“We ALL thought you were dead..”
