I had known Zayn since I was a toddler. He was such a reckless but cute child. We were always together and our parents made fun of us for it.
“Winter, come on. It’s not a big deal. If I win the X Factor, I’m famous! Dream comes true!” Zayn told me happily days before he had gone into the X Factor.
“Everything will change between us though!” I had told him, pouting evidently.
“No it won’t Winter. Stop telling yourself that!” He had shouted, getting mad. I knew it was Zayn Malik’s dream to be in the X Factor, but what I didn’t know how much he wanted it.
“Winnie, are you there?” A voice said as I put the phone up to my ear.
“I’m here Zayn,” I told him and I could hear his faint laugh.
“What’s new?”
“Nothing,” I said quietly, fiddling with my hair.
“Stop messing with your hair Winnie. It’s going to fall out soon. Lou says hi. I have to go, Win.” Zayn told me and I heard a voice in the background.
“Goodbye Zayn.”
“Goodbye Winter.”
A/N; so I know this is short but it’s just to kind of show you how this book is going to be. ~Paeton
