(Winter’s POV)
Beep.

Zayn and Winter at age 13
“I don’t know what I would do without you, Winnie.” Zayn sighed as we sat on the sand bar of the creek. Our family thought it would be fun to take us to the United States for a couple weeks and we were in Missouri.
“You would die?” I joked, elbowing him.
“Most likely, yes,” He sighed and I raised my eyebrows. I had only been joking.
“Zayn, I was only joking!” I laughed, looking at him.
“Well, I’m not joking.” He sighed. “I wish I was though.”
Zayn and Winter at age 5
“Mummy, Zayn is being rude!” I screamed at my mother, pulling at her shorts.
“He only likes you sweetie.” She sighed. I had told her millions of times lately.
“If he liked me, why is he mean?” I gasped, covering my tiny mouth. I had that pink nail polish on that all little girls loathed.
“Winnie, come here!” Zayn yelled, running into the kitchen.
“See, he calls me that name? Like Winnie the Pooh!” I yelled at my mother, hiding from the Bradford boy.
“Winnie the Pooh is nice and cute. So are you,” Zayn sighed, hugging me tight.

“Come on, Winnie.” Zayn sighed, playing with my hair.
“No,” I sighed, poking him.
“The worst we could do is getting sent to jail!” Zayn laughed and I rolled my eyes.
“Oh, geez, did you seriously just say that?” I laughed as he twirled my hair around his finger.
“Yep, Winnie why don’t you?” He sighed, raising his eyebrows.
“We are putting graffiti on a billboard. Ya, totally smart, Malik,” I groaned.
“Yep, that’s how I am, I am smart!” He winked and I laughed at this.
Two hours later we were super high in the air. I was hyper ventilating, Zayn was having problems but laughing hard.
‘Z & W 4EVER’ I wrote quickly. Zayn laughed and I smiled.
‘I love you W’ He wrote in huge letters. We quickly climbed down the steps and I looked at him.
“I do love you.” He winked, and I knew what he meant. Just as a friend.
“Love you too, Zayn.” I laughed as he put his arm around my waist. But, I didn’t mean it just as a friend. I truly did love him.
