The Great hall is packed and Mcgonagal stands in front of the podium. "Christmas is in two days this Friday....in which I hope you all have an amazing time.  Unfortunately though, the holidays this winter must come to end end....as you are all expected to start classes again on Monday.  It will be nice to have every one back, but for now enjoy your break.  And thank you again for all of those who came back for the holidays, or were staying with us......you may have graduated....but know Hogwarts will always be here to welcome you home."

Everyone interrupted into a loud roar of conversation as soon as she finished her end of the holiday speech, and began to dig into the large array of food on the tables. The ceiling also is enchanted with falling snow, causing a number of students to look up at the sudden movement.

"I can't believe we have to start classes again on Monday!" Draco groaned.

"Well at least it is still Wednesday. We also have to find something more of Dumbledore while we have the free time. If you guys all want we can meet in the library sometime." Hermione spoke to the group of her, Draco, Ginny and Harry.

"Blimey.....Why are you guys always meeting in the library." said Dean taking a seat next to Hermione.

"I have always gone to the library dean." Hermione said firmly, nervous of them being caught.  "I'm actually going to go there now...you know with newts coming up."  She stood up looking back to her friends. "I'll see you later than."

Draco nodded, understanding her sudden excuse. "Later."

Hermione than left heading to the Grand staircases.  She started up a set of stairs, waiting for it to change. It shifted and she advanced to the next, the normal pattern to get to her common room.  She noticed a Hufflepuff a couple flights up, looking impatient, with Dark black hair. He was the only one in the staircase foyer, and like her...it was odd to have left the feast so early.  She was about to get off at the next landing, but as she glanced at him once more, she could now see a bronze chain around his neck. 'A time turner.' she thought.

She was supposed to get off and go to her common room, and later her friends would join her.  But she knew that her curiosity would keep her from doing so. Mentally cursing her actions in advanced, she  got onto another staircase, and proceeded to make her way towards the boy.  She was slowly getting closer, as he too was making his way up the stairs.  Finally she hopped on the same staircase as him.

He looked familiar, someone who was in her classes.  "Hi." she said as he stopped his procession up the stairs due to them beginning to switch once more. He looked at her with a confused expression.  "I'm Hermione Granger...Your in some of my classes right? And were in Dumbledore's Army." She said extending her hand.

He took it. "Yeah.....Justin....Justin Finch-Fletchley" The staircase halted. "Your one of Harry's friends right?...helped him defeat Voldemort."  He stepped onto the next staircase.

Hermione jumped on just before it began to move once more. "Um yes....that would be me." she smiled, meeting his eyes. "Um.....I was wondering if I could ask you something?"

"Sure...I'm just heading to the library."

"What is that...that you have around your neck?" she asked directing her gaze to the time turner.

He quickly tucked it into his robes. "Oh...it's nothing" He began to continue to the next staircase, avoiding Hermiones gaze.

"Wait!...Justin...Wait!" she yelled after him. He turned back around, looking down at her once more.  "It's ok.  I know. I know what it is.......It's a time turner isn't it?"
