The common room became a blur, as two years worth of students walked past at lightning speed. Eventually it all halted. The common room was empty, and there was still light filtering through the windows, resembling it was early evening.

"Do you think it worked? Is it the right day?" Ginny asked.

Hermione went over to the coffee table in which had her pile of homework she had been working on that night before going to dinner. She picked up her parchment and read the date scribbled in the corner out loud. "June thirtieth, nineteen seventy seven." She set the paper down looking at the group. "It's the right day alright."

"Ok let's go to the clock tower....we still have a couple of hours until Dumbledore and I come back." Harry said.

"Wait!" Hermione said. "We have to know where all of our past selves were at this time!....I know I was in the Great hall, along with Ginny as well."

"I went to dinner but I left early to go to my room before I had to.....let the death eaters in." Draco said with guilt on his face."

"I was already with Dumbledore" Harry said.

"Ok well as long as we aren't seen by any one else....we should be fine...." Hermione said.

"Ready?" Harry asked.

"Yeah." Hermione said. Harry pulled the cloak over them all and they exited the common room into the corridor.

"I'ts a bit crowded in here....don't you think!" Draco said.

"Shh..." they all snapped.

They made there way a little further before they heard a clank.

"What was that?" Ginny asked.

"I don't know."

"Wait...I think I dropped my wand." Hermione said ducking out from under the cloak to go pick it up.

"Hermione no!" Harry whispered noticing the footsteps coming from around the corner, but she was already out from under he cloak.

She crouched down to pick up her wand, and once it was in her hand she stood up abruptly "Got it-" but then bumped into a tall figure in front of her, knocking her wand out of her hand, sending it flying across the room.

"Watch where you're going mud blood!"

She froze....starring up at the person in front of her. Her instant reaction was to say sorry...but she remembered they were still arch enemies and instead plastered on an angry face.

"Well Maybe you should watch where you're going D-Malfoy!.....and besides....your the one who knocked my wand out of my hand!"

He stared at her coldly for at least a couple of seconds, and it felt as if he was looking right through her. She swallowed, afraid that he would notice she was older.

"Like I said....... watch where you're going mudblood!" He growled. He leaned closer to her ear and whispered in an ice chilly voice "And I would stay in your dormitory tonight Granger...If you know what's best for you." He brushed past her, bumping her shoulder as he walked away.

Hermione stood there frozen, listening as his footsteps echoed down the corridor. Did he warn her? He told her to stay in her dormitory...which with the death eaters coming into the castle was a way to make sure she wouldn't get hurt.
