The weekend dragged on, and while the rest of the school wished for the holidays never to end, Hermione was practically jumping at the idea of term starting again.

The Quidditch teams continued to practice all through Saturday and up to Sunday morning.....though luckily Hermione managed to ditch Draco, giving an excuse that she had to go to the library.

Now Hermione had just entered the library, leaving Draco in the hallway, hoping to wait just long enough until he left, to then rush to the Quidditch pitch. She was receiving a sharp look from madam pince, so decided to stop idling and check out a book for the sake of it. She reached a section to do with many ways to cure animal bites. She scanned the section reading titles such as: The bite of a vampire, one hundred and one ways to use mandrake, Hippagriff? No problem, the consequences of blast ended skrewts, and Godrics guide to Jumping Gargoyles.

"Boo!"

Hermione whipped around, to see Draco right beside her. "Draco! what are you doing here?" Hermione asked, now concerned on how she was going to escape for Quidditch practice.

"Well since you've been spending so much time in the library....I thought I could help....whatever your doing....which would be?" He contorted his face, realizing he didn't know what she was working on.

"Time travel obviously." she said, and he seemed satisfied.

"Also....we could work on those essays due at the end of January....I know I said it was loads away....but its a whole ten feet."

Hermione stopped looking through the books and turned to Draco. "Look.....it's not that I don't like spending time with you....it's just.....I like to work alone....to clear my mind."

"Oh well I thought we could work together."

"Draco would you just please leave me alone!" Hermione yelled angrily, biting her tongue once she realized that she yelled.

"Oh-" his smile faded. "I get it-"

"No Draco!.....I didn't mean it like that!" Hermione said.

"No it's fine.....You don't want me here. I'll just go then." He said, turning and leaving the library.

"Draco!" She called after him, but he was already gone. She sighed, shoving the book back onto the shelf. Great, now they were having another fight and she was the cause of it. She looked at her watch, and now in a foul mood hurried to the Quidditch pitch.

"What's been taking you so long!" Ron asked waiting in his Robes along with the rest of the team. "Your half an hour late!...at this rate we are going to lose-"

Hermione couldn't take Ron right now. "Your lucky I'm here at all!" she said hastily.

'Well someones in a foul mood!....what....trouble in paradise!" He retorted, and Hermione could have slapped him. She was almost at the breaking point.

"Enough Ronald!" she said scolding.

"Oh I forgot.....your probably late because you don't care if we win or lose. You just want your Drakey-kins to get all the glory-"

"I SAID ENOUGH!" Hermione yelled which caused Ron to turn purple.

"Geez....The death eater can have you.....all you are is angry all the time." Ron muttered.

"What did you say?" Hermione asked, not noticing the whole Gryffindor team watching them, and the now Slytherin team walking onto the field.

"I said the deatheater can have you...your worthless anyway.....who wants a Prudish girlfriend?...all you do is read.....and you think your so great...you can't even fly! Harry just felt sorry for you!"
