Chapter 38: Confessions

Taehyung's POV

We haven't exactly talked about that conversation since that day.

I want to give her space. That and I'm talking with Jin about the plan we've come up with.

This plan, it's crazy, no its insane. I'm not sure whether the other members or even Rose would ever see me the same after this.

It's pretty risky and kind of reckless, but this is the only way to show her. Besides, actions speak louder than words.

"Are you done with your food?" Rose whispered as she stood with her hand extended. I handed her my plate and she quickly walked into the kitchen.

The sink was turned on and the sound of clicking dishware commenced.

I stared out the window into the shady green forest. Such a beautiful place, somewhere to go and escape from your troubles. But this is quite ironic, I am the trouble.

The water stopped running and footsteps faded away.

J-Hope's POV

I sat at the table with a cup of coffee in complete silence.

We're having some problems coming up with excuses for Taehyung's absence. Luckily, he'll be the last to film for our events.

Since Jimin and I have been practicing for our dance, we had the day to ourselves while the others had to complete their tasks.

Jimin came in, brushing his hair back in the process. "Morning hyung, did the guys leave?"

I nodded and pointed towards the kitchen counter, "Jin hyung left some food for us and a note."

He gave a small smile and went into the kitchen and poured himself a cup. He came back with the note and sat across me.

"It just says to prepare the house for our guests." He quietly said before taking a sip.

I glanced at the vapor escaping from my cup, "What guests do you think he's talking about? Rose and V?"

With a shrug of his shoulders he leaned against his chair and tapped on the table. "I'm not sure hyung but we should get started."

Rose's POV

I tapped on the glass of the window as I leaned on the frame. My other hand was occupied with my necklace. It's my most prized possession, it means everything to me.

The reason why I gave it to Jungkook was because he needed more than I did at the time. He looked so sad and I felt that giving him something of mine would comfort him.

"May I come in?" I turned my head to see him slightly peeking inside the room. I nodded as I bit my lip, my hand still holding onto the necklace.

He came and sat next to me, his aura felt neutral. My eyes did not meet with his, but I could feel that he was looking at me.

"How did I ever meet someone like you?" he asked with a creeping smile. I gazed up with a cocked eyebrow.

His smile faded as his hand came to my face, "I mean how did I ever meet someone so amazing and as beautiful as you?"

My heart began beating really hard and I could feel my face getting really warm.

"Don't think that I never trusted you. I know that what I did was unforgivable, but when I found out that they-" He stopped.

He removed his hand and shifted his sight towards the ground as I began to hear faint sniffles.

He slowly turned back to expose his watery eyes. "I-I was afraid. I didn't want to lose you, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't want you to leave me."

He was going to say something else but I interrupted him by pulling him into my embrace. "I love you, I could never leave you. That's why I got off the plane, I wanted you be by your side."

I pulled back and wiped the single tear off his cheek. As a smile appeared on my face, I extended my hand out and pointed to it.

He reached into his pocket and placed the object onto my finger. I examined the rings wrapped around our fingers.

His hands went to my face as he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead.

Suga's POV

We just got back from a long day of filming and other things we needed to do.

As Jin was making dinner I decided to take a small nap before he finished. The others were doing their own thing.

In the midst of falling asleep, the doorbell and grabbed my attention. Is that Rose and V? Already?

I got up and went to the living room where the others were.

Jin made his way to the door and opened it. Two people came in, but it wasn't who I was expecting.

He looked back at us with a devilish smile, "Looks like our guests have arrived."
