Chapter 7.

Jane's POV
I had a very nice sleep. Kiddo always managed to cheer me up. Talking to him for even ten minutes made me happy.

I went to the washroom, did my business, showered and came changed into my pink crop top and white jeans. I checked the time. Already eight two! The Woods must be waiting.

They had a rule here. Everyone has to be at the dining table by eight so they could eat together. I was correct. They were all down waiting for me.

"Good Morning!" I chirped. "Morning!" Ryan and Chloe said in unison. "Good Morning Miss Jane." Isabelle said. Hayden set his cold gaze on me and Fiona glared at me. Mike on the other hand looked at me with his softest eyes.

It was the softest eyes of him I had ever seen. I looked in his eyes. Colors erupted from inside. Shades of pink, purple, green, blue and not what. Or wait! Is it just you who can see those colors! Innervoice said. I looked away but Mike kept looking at me.

I grinned at the sight of pancakes, waffles, chocolates and coffee. There were many types of syrups there as well. "Miss Jane, we all are going horse riding today. Do you want to come?" Ryan asked. "Yes!" I exclaimed. "Do you even know horse riding?" Fiona said. "Yes. I had a horse named Toothpaste. Me and Kiddo used to do horse riding all day long." I replied. "You seem to he very close to Kiddo?" Chloe asked. "He's the only family I've got besides Cole." I replied.

I tied Pepper back into the stable after hours of riding her. The stable was just besides the woods. Everyone else had already gone back. As I made my way back I heard someone call my name. "Jane! Jane help me!" Oh no! Someone is in danger! I must help him.

I darted into the woods.

I was scared of even my own footsteps I stepped on the fallen leaves and twigs on the ground. There was very little light because of the tall trees. "Crr" I turned on hearing the rumble of leaves behind me.

I froze on the spot. A cold, evil, blue gaze on me. I knew these eyes well. I knew this tall, evil and cruel monster nicely, Jake.

He was the cause of all my miseries. He was the one to take away all my happiness and give me sadness.

Jake was my father's best friend. More of a brother. They did almost everything together. He was so close to me and Kiddo as well but then... one day father came home in cold sweat.

Flashback
"Honey, we must stay away from Jake." Father requested Mother. A younger version of me and Kiddo hid listening to them. "What did he do?" Mother asked in shock. "He killed Maria." Father said. I was sixteen then, Kiddo was twelve.

After that Jake kidnapped me twice and even tried to rape me. He was unsuccessful every time. Then one day he killed Mother and Father. I was in the car too but I lived.

"Missed me Jane?" He asked and held my arm. Hot tears poured down my cheeks.
