Chapter 31.

Mike 's POV

We were finally home. After two days of staying in the hospital, I managed to convince both Jane and Hayden to come back home. They were both broken, each being extremely connected to Zoey.

"Uncle, this is your home?" Asked Kevin tugging at my coat's sleeve. "It is your home." I corrected him and a grin spread through his face. "Daddy! Did you hear? This is my home!" He squealed in happily and Hayden smiled at his son.

Just then, Chloe, Isa and Ryan came rushing. "Uncle! Where were you?" Isa asked hugging my legs. I sat down on my both knees, in order to match her height. I opened my mouth to reply when someone interrupted, "this is my uncle! Get your own!" Pouted Kevin and I laughed.

"No! This is my uncle! Not yours!" Isa yelled back. I chuckled as Kevin whined, stomped his feet and went to Hayden. "Daddy! This is not fair! Why don't I have my own uncle?" He cried. Isa's head shot up in alert when Kevin said 'daddy.' "Uncle Hayden?" She said, quietly. Tears filling her eyes.

"Is he your son?" She asked and Hayden smiled at her, "yes Belle." He answered. "Does this mean that you will love us less?" Isa questioned and a happy smile spread over his face. "No, Belle, I'll always love you the same." Hayden said.

He looked so happy. I had not seen him so happy in a while. He is happy to find that Isa loves him so much. "Dad!" Kevin whined as Isa ran to Hayden and hugged him. "Shh... Kevin, this is your sister, Isabelle." Hayden said and Kevin pouted, visibly not happy to see her.

I looked over at Jane. She was grinning at this whole interaction. Then, Jane glanced at me and a lazy smile took over my face which she returned. "You all should sleep, you know." Chloe said popping out of nowhere. She's so much like my sister, Sarah.

"Yeah, sure." Hayden and I reply simultaneously. Just as Hayden and Kevin began to move, Chloe squealed. "Who is this little guy?" She asked sitting in front of him. Kevin hugged his father's legs to protect himself from over excited teenagers and I rolled my eyes.

She's a photocopy of Sarah.

"Don't be afraid, I am Chloe, your older sister." She spoke softly. She's good with kids. "Not now, Gloey. It's too much to take. All four of us, Chloe, my Jane, Hayden and I chuckled at the little kid's words. "Come on Kevin, get some sleep." Hayden stated dragging Kevin away.

"But Daddy..." Kevin whined and disappeared in his room. "You should sleep too, Jane." I said and Jane nodded. Isa stood staring at us. "Uncle?" She asked. "Yes dear?" She looked at me pleading before speaking, "can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Sure!" Jane replied in an instant. I smiled at her. Isa glared childishly at me which made me laugh further. Jane walked to the kitchen while I went to my room and straight to the washroom have a bath. Isa stomped behind me and sat on the bed.

I let the warm water drain away all my exhaustion. I was tired and worried seeing both Hayden and my Jane like this. Zoey had still not shown any improvement in her state and doctors were worried about her as well.

Draping a towel around my waist, I stepped out of the washroom into my room and found Isa and my Jane talking. Isa was grinning at my Jane and she smiled back.

"You're the best!" Isa exclaimed, all of a sudden  and jumped on my Jane. This made my heart bloom.
