I Just Met Him!

Asa's POV:

I woke up the next morning from my mom coming in my room and blinding me with my light. She has this routine that she wakes me up every morning by walking in my room, turning on my light right above my head and saying "Asa wake up!!". Yeah it works, but it blinds me and it gets annoying after a while.

I eventually got out of bed, went to my closet and threw on my outfit. My white Liftlabel sweatshirt, black jeans and some black vans. I brushed my teeth, fixed my hair so it didn't look totally disgusting, and walked downstairs.

I wasn't too hungry so I just grabbed a Pop-tart and jumped on the couch until my bus was here.

To be honest, Yes. I'm falling for Emily. I really am. Why am I so nervous to see her today? What if she totally ignores me because of what Loxie said last night at the park. I hope she doesn't think we are an item yet. Yes I like her, but I don't wanna rush things and besides, does she even like me?

Emily's POV:

It seems like whenever I go to sleep, like 1 hour later I'm already waking up to get up and get ready for school.

I got dressed, did my hair, brushed my teeth and went downstairs to get something to eat. I just made toast.

Anyways, I'm nervous to see Asa today. Last night at the park was really fun and his sister is just so adorable!!

About 10 minutes later it was time to go to school. I said goodbye to my mom and walked out the door. It was dark outside, that's why I hate going to school at 7, it still feels like the night. It was cold. I waited out there for about 5 minutes, then my bus finally came.

I got on and walked to the back, as usual, and just waited for Asa to get on.

To kill some time, I just listened to music.

~5 minutes later~

Before I knew it, we arrived at Asa's house. Why is my stomach getting butterflies? oh god. what's going on??

I see Asa run out his door, in front of the bus, and walking down the aisle way.

He looked at me, and then sat down a couple seats away from me. He looked kinda sad. Why is he sad?? Is he mad at me? Why isn't he sitting with me?

Asa's POV:

I feel so bad not sitting by Emily, I just need to get my mind off her and focus on school and acting. I'm usually home schooled, but since we already finished filming Enders Game, I'm not working on anything right now, so I just wanna go to real school.

I looked back and saw Emily just staring out the window. She looks really sad.

Why am I starting to feel sad? oh my god! it's like I care about her feelings more then I do mine.

We finally reached school. It's gonna be hard cause my and Emily sit right next to each other in Maths. oh well.

I went to my locker to get my books, walked into class and saw Emily already sitting there. I went over and say down next to her. I looked over and whispered "hey" She looked over and smiled a little. Maths was boring so I was just daydreaming the whole time. I kept looking over at Emily, she seemed bored. I don't blame her.

~30 minutes later~

Finally Maths is over! Ever since Maths ended the day has been going by so fast. Its already lunch time. I walked in the cafeteria and look around for Emily. She is sitting down with a bunch of other girls. I thought we were gonna sit together??

Emily's POV:

I walked in the cafeteria and saw my friend Makenzie sitting down. I decided to skip lunch cause I didn't want to wait in the line anyway so I just went and talked to her. "Hey what's up girl?" I asked her. "Nothing!! Hey, I heard you and the new kid have something going on" she said. I really hope she isn't talking about Asa. "Asa?" I asked her.. I really hope she says no, cause I don't want her to find out just yet that I have feelings for him. "yeah!! those gorgeous blue eyes totally belong to you" she said.

Oh god! It's him! "oh haha! no. we are just close friends" I said.

I watched Makenzie eat her food and about 15 minutes later it was time to leave. "Let me just say, You've known Asa for a long time" Makenzie said. Uhh no I haven't... I just met him. What does she mean?

About 2 hours later school finally ended. I was walking out to the buses when someone bumped into me. I turned around and it was Asa. He smiled. I smiled. This is so weird, this morning he was acting like he hates me.. but now he likes me again..?

We got on the bus and he actually sat next to me. We looked over at each other a couple times in dead silence. He put his fingers through mine. WOAH! HOLD UP! I'm so confused. I thought we weren't a thing.

I look at him, he's looking at me. "so, I know we aren't a thing.. but I really just wanna be the bestest of friends for now.. do you care if I hold your hand?" I blush and quickly respond "it's okay!" He smiles. "Hey Asa, how would I have known you for a long time?" I asked him thinking he might know. "What do you mean?" He responds. "well my friend was talking to me and she said that I have known you for along time." I said. "Oh well, looks like this is my stop. I will text you Em. Maybe we could hang out later, bye!!" He said as he was getting out of the seat and heading to the front of the bus. "Uh bye" I say. I'm so confused. Is he hiding something from me? What could it possibly be?

I just met him!
