You Know That I Could Use Somebody

Cleo stopped by the café in her way to work, for two reasons: one, she needed a boosting green juice to start her day, and two, she had to plan with Emma how to bring Nash and Rikki back together. Rikki went shopping for some missing groceries so the café was an ideal place for such plans.
"Hey Em, got everything ready for tonight?" Cleo said walking up to the counter.
"Yep," Emma said and handed her the drink. "We meet in the moon pool at six, and then we all slowly drift away and leave them there alone, to let the magic happen." She smirked.
"Great," Cleo said. "You'll get Rikki to close by then and me and Bella will take care of getting Nash there. Gotta go, bye Em!" She said and quickly walked out.
As Emma was cleaning the bar, she hear a voice calling her name. She raised her head to see none other than the customer from yesterday.
"Hey..." She said, but realized she didn't know her name.
"Bridgit," The blonde girl said and smiled. "Couldn't help but listen, were you talking about someone named Nash? As in Nash McLaren?"
"Yeah, how do you know him?" Emma said in surprise.
"He's my cousin, I'm here visiting and he's not picking up his phone. Do you happen to know where he lives?" Bridgit explained.
"I do," Emma said and wrote down the address for her. "Here you go."
"Couldn't thank you enough," She said. "Always a pleasure to see you. Maybe we could hang out some time." She said and winked.
"I... I..." Emma stuttered.
"I'll take that as a maybe. Chaow!" She said and went on her way.
Emma did not know what to think. Did she just...? No, no way. I mean what are the chances? Her mind was running wild, but she had to put those thoughts aside since she had a a mission to complete.

"I kinda like this one," Nash said and pointed on Will's laptop screen.
"No, no, too big, we should look for something smaller!" Will said and kept scrolling.
Bella walked in Will's boat shed to find the two boys sitting on the couch.
"Please tell me you're not watching porn." She said.
"No, no. We're looking for an apartment," nash said, not taking his eyes off the screen.
"An apartment?" She asked.
"We figured that if you girls live together, it's time for us to get our on place." Will said, and then stood up and kissed his girlfriend cheek.
"Plus, I can't handle living with my sister anymore, she gets too annoying." Nash added.
"Got it. You know, we're all meeting at the moon pool tonight at six, you should come." Bella said, as casually as she could.
"Sure, I'll be there." Nash said, while scrolling through the gallery of apartments online.
"Good, now I better get going, Cleo said she needed my help with something." She lied.
"Should we come too?" Will asked.
Bella shook her head in refuse. "No, that's, uh... Girl stuff."
"Oh." Nash and Will said at the same time.
"Well, bye!" Bella said to get out of the moment of awkwardness. "And I'll see you at six!" She pointed at Nash and left.
Will turned to Nash. "You were right, girls are weird."

It was 5:50 when Cleo phone rang. She herself just got off work and was running in order to make it to the moon pool in time.
"Yes Emma?" She answered the phone.
"There's a small problem," Emma said over the line. "My parents are making me go to Elliot's soccer game right now, so I won't make it. You and Bella should take the situation in your hands."
"Don't worry Em, we got it." Cleo said and hang up the phone, before making sure no one is around, and jumping off the dock into the clear blue water.

Cleo swam gently into the moon pool, where she found her three friends.
"Hey guys," She said and swam to the stone edge.
"We were just talking about how you're always late," Nash said.
"No we weren't!" Rikki poked him in the arm and they both laughed. Cleo and Bella exchanged hopeful looks.
"So, guys," Bella said. "Did you know Nash and Will are moving in together?"
"It's not sure yet," Nash pointed.
"Oh so you two are now a couple?" Rikki joked.
"Congratulations guys!" Cleo added. "You know, Halloween is coming up, did you plan anything with Will, Bella?"
"Well ain't that random," Nash said looking at Rikki.
"We sure did," Bella continued. "Couple costumes are the best, right Rikki?" She said, trying to start a new topic.
"Are you asking me as a part of a couple?" Rikki looked at her confused. "You two are acting rally weird today."
"We're not!" Cleo said. "Oh wow look at the time, my dad told me to be home early tonight!"
"And I promised Nate I will help him write a new song." Bella added.
"Yeah, but you two should totally stay, you know, chat a little bit. Take your time!" Cleo said, and before Rikki or Nash could say anything, both Bella and Cleo were underwater and out of the cave. Or so they thought, when in reality they were hiding by the entrance, where neither of the two could see them, but they could see Nash and Rikki very clearly.

"Well, what do you think of couple costumes?" Nash said.
"I think they're pretty dumb." Rikki said.
"Finally someone who thinks the same! I don't wanna be a horse head constantly looking for my butt the entire night." He said and they both laughed.
"I actually got myself a costume already." She said.
"Oh really, what is it?" Nash turned on his back, laying against the pool wall.
"It's a secret." Rikki declared.
"Aw c'mon!"
"Fine, come here," She said and he moved closer as she whispered in his ear.
"That's fucking awesome!" He said. "I'm going to buy a costume this week."

"Why aren't they flirting?" Cleo whispered to Bella.
"I don't know, they are both so... friendzoned!" Bella answered.
Cleo raised her hand and used her power to move the water into pushing her into him.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Rikki said after bumping into Nash. "Don't know what happened."
"That's fine, I need to get going anyway. Are you coming?" He asked.
"I think I'll stay here a little more." She said.
"As you wish. See you tomorrow." He said and went under water. Cleo and Bella hurried to swim away before he'd notice them on the way out.
Rikki remained in the water, floating on her back, her mind filled with thoughts. Her life was so happy in the moment. She had great friends, a great business, and she was a mermaid - what could go wrong?
