"Who is Bridgit again?" Evelyn asked from her place on the chair in the middle of the room.
"Nash's cousin." Rikki replied, standing in front of her.
"Or at least we thought she was." Emma added.
Evelyn turned to Emma. "And you kissed her?"
Emma blushed slightly. "Once. But that's not the important stuff."
Evelyn looked more confused than ever. "So Nash is not Nash?"
"It's Bridgit disguised as Nash; C'mon Evelyn, we've been over this," Emma sighed.
"Do you think this is possible?" The brunette girl asked from her seat.
"We don't know," Bella said, as she was sitting on the kitchen counter. "But I felt this woman pressing me down without even touching me. She is way stronger than us - who knows what else she can do?"
Evelyn thought about it for a moment. "So where s Nash? The real one?"
"That's what we plan to find out. Tonight. Are you coming with us?" Rikki said, with a little military general attitude in her.
"I-I don't know." Evelyn said, looking around at the four girls. "I'm not like you guys. I don't have any special abilities. Maybe I should leave this to you, and just stay out of this. I'll be no help."
"Suit yourself." Rikki said, slightly happy of the fact she won't be joining.
Evelyn got up and headed to the door. She opened it and before leaving she turned back.
"Rikki, promise me you'll make sure he's safe. I know he trusts you." She said with sad eyes.
Rikki looked down and took a deep breath. "I will, I promise."Evelyn closed to the door behind her and headed down to street on the way to her own home. She was in too deep in her thoughts to care about anything else. In fact, she didn't notice the sounds that followed her and she walked until they got too loud to miss. "Hello?"
No reply. Probably just an small animal. She kept walking, a little more focused now when she heard another sound to her left. She turned to it, and before she could say or do anything, she was taken.SKIP
"This way, please," A nurse said and led the four girls down the hall. He stopped in front of a room, with the number A1-13 written on the door, and knocked gently before pushing it open. "Ms. Chatham, you have visitors."
Louise Chatham was sitting by a small white table, a cup of tea in her hand, and was staring at the ocean from her large window view. "Oh how lovely of you to come, girls! Come in, please!" The elderly woman got up and hugged Emma, Cleo and Rikki. "And I see you brought a friend," She said, smiling at Bella.
"That's Bella. She's like us." Cleo said, and Ms. Chatham hugged the fourth one as well. She gestured at the nurse to leave them alone and he closed the door.
"May I offer you some tea, girls?" She said and headed back to her seat.
"No thanks." Emma smiled at her as the four set alongside her by the small table.
"We actually came here today, because we need help, and you might be the only one who knows anything." Rikki said, and definitely caught Ms. Chatham's attention, as the older woman put down her cup.
"Our friend, Nash. He was taken, and replaced," Emma started.
"Replaced?" Louise asked in curiosity.
"By someone else, that looks just like him. But that's not him." Emma explained. "Is that even possible?"
"The sea is a large and mysterious place, and it holds some of the greatest powers. Who else knows what could come out of there?" Ms. Chatham replied.
"I saw something, while I was swimming." Bella joined. "It was like a circle of stones, completely submerged under water. And it showed me something, like a vision..."
"The stone circle is a place with a great power, my dear," The elderly smiled and poured some more tea to herself.
"So you know what it is?" Rikki jumped.
"It was build many years ago, on land. It was made by the druids, a group of an ancient advisors and emissaries. They had great powers, and the circle of stones was a place to help them find balance." She explained. "It has the ability to absorb dark magic, and help them focus on the good."
"What happened to them?" Cleo asked.
"Thousands of years passed since, and the circle of stones has sunken into the ocean, with all of the dark magic in it. It is a very dangerous place. And seeing a vision there, as you describe, is a sign of something very bad that is gonna happen."
The girls exchanged worried looks. "Then how do we stop it from happening?" Rikki said.
The older woman thought for a moment before getting up and going to the other room. She returned a few seconds later holding a medium sized wooden box.
"What's that? Rikki asked.
"That, is a Chinese puzzle box. It can trap even the most powerful being in it. You'll need it." She said and handed it to Emma. "If you're dealing with what I think you do, it's the only way to save everything."
