Surprise

For the last few days Veronica had been trying to keep something from Betty- but for very good reasons. She had planned something for both of them and she wanted to keep it a surprise, which wasn't entirely easy when Betty knew she was up to something.

However, now she was ready to reveal what the surprise was. She had texted Betty asking to meet her at Pops, knowing the blonde could never say no to a milkshake. As soon as Betty saw Veronica her eyes lit up.

Betty then said: "so, are you going to tell me what you've been up to for the last few days?" Veronica replied: "well, I've been arranging a surprise for the two of us" and handed Betty an envelope, saying: "open this and your questions will be answered".

Veronica smiled as she saw Betty open the envelope, which contained two plane tickets for a week in Paris. Betty said: "Veronica this is amazing". The brunette added: "you wait until you see the hotel I booked for us" and showed Betty the pics on her phone.

Betty asked: "how on earth did you manage to afford that?" to which the brunette replied: "I borrowed mom's credit card when she wasn't looking. Besides, I only want the best for my fiancé which means I will pay whatever it costs to spoil you rotten".

Although she shouldn't, Betty did laugh at how proudly Veronica mentioned she had 'borrowed' her mum's credit card. Although the money didn't matter to her it was certainly nice to be spoiled sometimes. She also loved hearing herself described as Veronica's fiancé.

The flight was in a couple of days so they had a chance to get ready- and most importantly pack. They knew their parents would probably try to talk them out of it, they still weren't happy about the girls being engaged, but they didn't care.

When Betty told Alice and Hal about the trip to Paris, Hal said: "do you really expect us to be OK with you going all the way to France by yourself?" Betty replied: "i don't really care- you've tried to control me and lied to me my whole life. I'm going whether you like it or not".

At the same time, Veronica said to her parents: "Betty and I are going to Paris for a week. We're going in a couple of days" Hiram said: "you can't just decide to go on holiday" to which Veronica replied: "well I can, because I already did"

When Hermione asked: "why did you want to go all that way?" Veronica replied: "Betty and I haven't got much time left together before we go off to college and I wanted what time we have got to be special- and I couldn't think of anywhere more special than Paris.

The following day Betty and Veronica spent most of the day packing, although neither of them were entirely sure what to pack as they weren't sure what the weather was going to be like. Betty texted Veronica saying: "I have no idea what to wear! Xx"

Veronica texted back: "you'll look gorgeous whatever you wear. Weather shouldn't be too bad but best be prepared". Betty smiled to herself as she finished getting ready to spend what promised to be the perfect week with the girl she loved
