I looked around the busy plaza, searching for my adorable lover. 'They said 3 o'clock, right? Maybe I misunderstood' I thought as I looked at my phone for the seventh time. 3:20 it read. A weird feeling settled into my stomach. "Anouk!" I heard a familiar voice call out. Smiling, I turned around. "Teddy! I thought you'd forgotten."
"I'd never forget my favourite Belgian," Teddy said, approching me, "Sorry for the wait Anouk." A soft kiss landed on my forhead. "It's alright, I'm just glad you're here." I whispered hugging them. They thightened the hug before letting go and offering one of their arms, which I gladly placed my hand on. "So, where're we going?" I asked curiously. "It's a secret," Teddy winked at me, making me even more curious.
We were walking for about half an hour when they suddenly stopped in front of tattoo shop. I looked at them, cocking my head to the side a bit. He smiled and opened the door.
Inside, the woman behind the counter came toward us, greeting Teddy like an old friend.
"Teddy, dude, you're late!" she squeeled smiling, "You said you'd be here around half 4." She hugged Teddy, then looked at my confused face and gave me a hand. Hasitently, I shook her hand. "Hiya, I'm Lola." Lola intoduced herself "I asume you are Anouk?"
"U-uhm, yes, p-pleasure meeting you." I stuttered, not feeling very comfortable being around someone I didn't know.
A reasuring smile layed on Teddy's lips as I looked at him, still confused as hell. "Teddy, why are we here?" I wispered. "Well, I wanted to give you a special birthday present, and since you wanted a tattoo for a long time now, I thought it would be nice to pay for your first one." My mouth fell open at his sweet words. "Y-you'd do that for m-me?" Tears started to form in the corners of my eyes. "Ah! Don't cry, Anouk, I'm sorry. Did I do something wrong?"
"N-no, it's... No one has ever done something like that for me." I smiled as a tear roled over my cheeck. "Thank you." I kissed them on the lips. Surprised, they took a step back. Seeing as this was our first real kiss, it was expected of them. "So, Anouk, you already know what you want, right?" Lola interrupted our little moment, but I didn't really mind it. I nodded enthousiastically and took out my phone. In less than a second, the picture of a small flower was shown on the screen. "Cool, it's the same as Teddy showed me you'd want. Alright, let's get to it." She took me by the arm, which made a shudder go through my body, but this was a special occasion, so I let her drag me to a room in the back. Teddy followed, surprised I let myself be touched by a stanger.

The needle pierced through my skin for the last time, making the tattoo of the little daisy complete. Relieved, I let my face relax. "Anouk." Teddy said quietly, making me turn towards him. I noticed I still had my hand around his arm, making marks with my nails. Quickly, I let go and wispered an apologie. Lola, who had been dipping the ink with a cloth, looked up at me and smiled. "Now, I only have to bandage it up, and then you're ready to go." I looked down at my wrist and smiled when I saw the flower that reminded me of home. "Thank you, Teddy" I said as I kissed him softly. He smiled while kissing back. "Anything for my favourite Belgian."
