Soon my shift was over and I felt like crap. I changed and walked back to the house. I went upstairs and stared at my phone. Tomorrow I am turning 18. Who knew? I'm going to be an adult. Probably won't act like one though. I heard a knock on my door.
"Hey Maya," Josh said smiling.
"Hey," I replied sitting up.
"Since your birthday tomorrow," he said looking at the floor, "I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight."
Wow, he's nervous, "I would love to."
"I'll be ready in an hour."
He nodded and left my room. I ran into Riley's room where I found her and Lucas sitting and talking.
"Riley! I need your help," I screamed.
"What's wrong peaches?" she asked concerned.
"I--have---date," I panted.
"With who?" she exclaimed.
"Josh," I laughed.
"A date with Josh?" Lucas furrowed his brows.
"Yes, Huckleberry," I laughed, "I need an outfit, hair, and makeup."
She dragged me into the bathroom and left Lucas in her room.

It's a good thing this girl knew my sense of style. I looked at myself a couple times until I gained more confidence. I walk out and I heard Riley gasp.
"Oh my goodness," she exclaimed, "You look hot."
"You--look--good," Lucas said clearing his throat. I felt his stare. If looks could kill. I'll be dead.
"Thanks honey and Ranged Rick," I laughed.
Riley gave me a quick hug and I ran downstairs. I then turned my head and saw Josh sitting on the couch patiently.
"Hi Maya," he smiled, "You look gorgeous."
"Thank you," I replied.
"Are you ready?" he asked holding his hand out.
"Yes I am," I responded.
Lucas POV
A date? Maya with Josh? He's older than her. I didn't think he would make a move on her. I'm dating Riley now so why am I thinking about Maya?
