When we got back to the house I noticed a bunch of present on the ground.
"So that was our present to you," Lucas smiled.
"And here are presents from the rest of us," Mom said.
Riley was the first to give me a bag. I opened it and was shocked to see an empty journal.
"This is your new song book," she smiled.
"Aww thanks Riles," I thanked pulling her into a hug.
"Our turn," Shawn announced. My mom walked back into the room with a new guitar in her hand.
"Oh my," I gasped.
"I love you guys," I said pulling them into a hug.
"Don't forget about us," Auggie pouted.
I laughed, "What ya got for me Matthews?"
He handed me a box and I quickly opened it. It was a beautiful record player followed by a record.
"This is amazing," I laughed.
"Happy birthday Maya," Topanga laughed.
After opening the presents we all sat and talked while eating some ice cream. I love my friends and family.
"Hey Maya," Josh said, "Do you want to see a movie with me?"
Lucas POV
I know Josh asking her to the movies was all part of the plan. But I felt this burning feeling and I have no idea what it means. All I know is that this surprise party has to be the best.
I turned to face Riley. She smiled at me and I returned the gesture. I've been dating her for a couple days now and everything has gone smooth. The problem is that our relationship wasn't interesting. It's not like we fight or anything but it was pretty boring. Not to mention how clingy she is.
"What movie?" Maya asked raising her eyebrow.
"Spider-Man"
"Hell yeah," she exclaimed, "Tom Holland is so cute." We all laughed and continued talking about the future.
Maya POV
My second date with Josh. This is going to be interesting. I spent the rest of the day getting ready for my second date. But all I could think about was Lucas and Riley.
Josh knocked, "Hey do you want to go to a party after?"
"Yep," I answered popping the p.
I looked back into my closet. Great. This is going to be hard.
~3 Hours Later~
The "date" with Josh went well. The movie, on the other hand, was amazing. After the movie, we decided to go shopping for an outfit for this party Josh is taking me too. We went to about a thousand stores to find a good outfit. I got my hair and makeup done at Sephora.
