It was early in the morning and the sun hasn’t even shone yet, but Finn was already awake. Well, barely. He still wanted to go back to sleep, but he couldn’t. It all started at midnight, he started to feel uncomfortable on his bed, which was weird since this was the first and only time he felt uncomfortable on his own bed. He opened his eyes slightly and extended his arm and he felt a lump on the bed, a really big lump, probably as big as him.
“Jake, you have your own bed, c’mon I can’t go back to sleep.” He said in a creaky voice. When he turned around, he saw that it wasn’t Jake who was sleeping next to him, even with his halfway-opened eyes. Then at the same time, Finn and the person next to him opened their eyes wildly. The huge lump was a girl? Finn asked himself, but then they just screamed at each other. They both fell off the bed and out of their sleeping bags. Then they began to argue by the opposite sides of the bed.
“What are you doing in my Tree Fort?!” They asked, at the same time.
“Your Tree Fort?! This is mine!” Both said at the same time, again. “No, it’s mine!”
“What?! No!”
“Jake!”
“Cake!” Should I even state again that they said it at the same time?
“Jeez, can’t a dog get some sleep?”
“Jeez, can’t a cat get some sleep?” Jake and Cake said at the same time. This startled them, then they both screamed and ran to their respective buddies.
“What’s going on, Finn?” Jake asked.
“I have no idea.”
“Hey, are you evil?” Jake asked the girl.
“No. Are you?” She asked back.
“No.”
“Good, otherwise I’d kill you.” They both said at the same time. And then they laughed.
“Okay, so no one’s evil in this room. I don’t know what’s going on, but we have to find out.” Finn said, “Hey, what’s your name?”
“I’m Fionna, with a double N.”
“And I’m Finn, with a double N too.”
“Hey aren’t dogs supposed to chase cats? Hey Finn, should I?” asked Jake.
“Oh no you don’t, you mutt!” replied Cake.
“Jake! No fighting!”
“Cake! No fighting!”
“Pssh. Fine.” Jake and Cake said.
“Maybe we’re long lost twins.” Finn suggested.
“Yeah, maybe.” Fionna agreed. “Or, better yet maybe we’re different versions of ourselves,” she suggested. “From a parallel universe.” She said dramatically.
“If that’s so, then we mustn’t make any skin contact, or else that’d be a paradox. I’ve seen it on an ancient TV show.” Finn said also in a dramatic way.
“But which world are we in? Yours or mine?” asked Fionna.
“I don’t know, but one person would know. Someone smart, someone scientific.” Finn explained.
“Yeah,” Fionna agreed.
“Princess Bubblegum.”
“Prince Gumball.” They said at the same time.
“Well, we’ll find out which world we’re in when we see who runs the kingdom won’t we?” Fionna said.
“Yeah, let’s go. C’mon Jake.”
“C’mon Cake.”

And so, Finn and Fionna ventured on to Candy Castle atop their currently gigantic buddies, Jake and Cake, respectively.
“Hey, if we are from parallel universes, how come your name sounds familiar?” asked Finn.
“Maybe it’s just you’ve known someone with the same name, but maybe with just a single N, that’s a bit common.”
“Yeah maybe.” Said Finn.
Soon, they arrived at the borders of Candy Kingdom. No one was on the streets and everything was quiet.
“It sure is deserted around here.” Said Cake, observing the Candy Kingdom.
“Well, the sun hasn’t raised much yet, Cake.” Fionna replied.
And then, all of a sudden they heard a shriek from the Candy Palace.
“Oh no! Princess Bubblegum!” said Finn. “C’mon let’s hurry!” And then, Jake and Cake shrunk back to normal size and let Finn and Fionna off their backs.
“Well, I guess we’re in your world, honey.” Cake said as the four of them dashed into the castle. They made their way to Princess Bubblegum’s room and Finn, who was extremely worried, kicked the door open.
“PB, are you alright?!” he immediately asked.
“No. Way.” Fionna, who was still standing by the doorway, said in surprise.
“Fionna! Boy am I glad to see you!” It was Prince Gumball.
