When I walk into my apartment I walk over to my room, plop myself on the bed and just look up at the ceiling. Today was a very long day and I have an even longer day tomorrow, but I can't sleep.

I turn on the tv to try and pass time which doesn't seem to help. Talking to Harry felt good, I had a conversation with somebody and laughed with somebody for the first time in weeks. "Harry Styles was out and about with a new girl today..All of you Harry lover's better watch out." I look up at the screen and see that 'that girl' is me.

But I also saw Harry and when I saw him I got this feeling of excitement? I don't know I really can't explain it, it's something foreign to me. He was a great friend tonight and listened to what I had to say, that I will always remember.

I miss talking with my grandmother, I miss going to see my parents once in a while, I miss home. As much as I miss it I know that deep down I can't leave, not yet and besides it's all probably just a phase, I'll just have to adjust to everything that has changed. Many people move away from their homes and families and do just fine. But I could always just call them.

With everything in me I want to call one of them right now but it's late, even in South Carolina. So I'll just have to call in the morning.

I do my usual night routine and then jump back into bed, this time I fall into a deep sleep quickly.

-The next day-

I wake up to the sound of my alarm, which is always set for 9:00 so that way I can get things around my place done and then have time to get ready for work.

After showering and changing into sweat pants and a t-shirt I go back into my room, sit on my bed and pull out my phone. I miss everybody back home, everybody except for Justin of course. I just hope that calling them will help me feel better about everything.

I dial my grandmother's number first and listen to ringing until she finally picks up. "Hey grams." I can hear the excitement in her voice. "Chloe I've missed you so much! Where have you been? How is everything going? Tell me everything." The fact that she always wants to know everything going on makes me happy, you would think that it would irritate me right?

Well I guess I am an odd one out, I never get to see her much so when I do finally get to talk with her it's exciting, for the both of us. We get to hear about things going on in each other's lives.

"Everything has been great, I got a job at this grocery store down the street and I'm still in the same place I was in when I first arrived.."

"How do you like the job?"

"I actually like it, I mean the hours are tough at times but on the other hand it gives me the whole day to work on some other things."

"That's great!..Have you figured anything out yet?" The whole reason why I came here in the first place was to figure out who I am, who I want to be, what I want to do. But I just haven't figured that out yet, I've been so busy with work and making sure I pay every week for my apartment that I just haven't had any free time.

I walk out into the living space where there is a window that looks over the few stores on this street. "No...not yet. I guess it's just something that is going to take time."

"You will figure it all out. It may not be right now but eventually everything will make sense and you will just know what you want. But go out and see the city, take a break maybe that's just what you need."

"Maybe...I miss you grams."

"I miss you too but I am always here to talk when you need me." I smile. "Thank you grams, I'll talk to you soon."

"Love you." I can just imagine how hopeful she is for me, I just want her to be proud. "I love you too. Bye."

As much as I miss home I know that I need to figure everything out, and like I said before it might get easier as time goes on. I need to do this for not only myself but for my grandmother as well, I just want her to be proud and know that I am happy. But I know that won't happen until I am truly happy.

I am going to figure this all out no matter how long it takes.

Even though I need to eat breakfast and do laundry I decide to call my parents first because I haven't talked to them in a long time either. After I dial their home phone number they pick up the phone pretty quickly.

"Hello?" It was my mother who picked up the phone. "Hey mom it's me."

"Wh-- Chloe! How have you been sweetie?" I never realize how much I miss her until I hear her voice. "I've been good. It's great out here, the light at night...they're amazing." She laughs. "I can only imagine. Your father and I were starting to get worried, I guess you are being quite the party animal huh?"

I start to laugh, if only they truly knew. "Yea I guess so. Las Angeles is the place to party..But I promise I'll be calling a bit more now."

"I'll hold you to that.I love you Chloe."

"I love you too mom, tell dad I said Hi and that I love hime too?"

"Will do, talk to you later."

The weird thing is I haven't partied, ever, not even once. It was something that I just never can find time to do. But I guess it's something that I can try eventually, it can be a part of my change and the journey of finding myself.

I walk over to my cabinet and pour myself a bowl of cereal and walk over to the refrigerator to get some milk. But when I pull it out I see that it is expired, great I guess I'll just have to eat dry cereal and get some milk tonight during my shift.

When I finish eating, I clean the dishes and then do some laundry. Which takes a while to do, even for just one person, it sure does tire me out.

I check my phone and see that it is about 11:00. That gives me a few hours to just sit and relax until I have to get ready for work. I guess I'll just see what's on tv until then...
