My parents meet us at the airport, giant smiles on their faces. Sebastian's grip tightens on my hand. I glance quickly at him and he looks nervous.  He whispers for just me to hear as we approach them, a small smile wavering on his face, Pretty Girl, are you sure about this?  I mean I'm stealing away their only child.... I stop and look at him, gently running my fingers across his cheeks, "Sebby, they'll love you because I love you. Now come on, we're in London!!"

They both swoop us up in hugs the second we get to them. My mother is fussing over my hair and outfit while my father is grilling Sebastian on his hobbies and future plans. Mom pulls me close to her side as we walk towards the Tube station, "Babygirl, he's even more handsome in person. And so tall..." I glance up at Sebastian who is happily chatting with my dad about lacrosse and then back to my mother. My voice is dreamy when I respond to her, "He's something isn't he..."

We wade through a sea of people to get to the train.  There are enough seats for the four of us but Sebastian still pulls me down to sit on his lap anyway, hands wrapped firmly around my waist. My parents have our bags in their hands as we look around, taking in our first sights and sounds of London.  Before I know it they are on their feet again motioning for us to follow. I slide off Sebastian's lap and he interlaces his fingers with mine once more as we exit onto the train platform.  My parents finally guide us through the crowds at Victoria station and out on to the streets of London.

"Princess, we found you and Sebastian a lovely little flat for the week.  It belongs to one of our coworkers who is visiting relatives over the holidays.  We're only a block away but we thought you would like your privacy.  First engaged holiday season and all."  I'm speechless as I take in my dad's words.  Sebastian is just staring wide eyed, this is not the response he must have expected from my 'scary' father. We follow them as they lead us to an apartment building, unlocking the doors and walking towards an apartment at the very end of the first floor. The door overlooks a cute little courtyard, shielded from the street.

My parents leave our luggage in a surprisingly spacious living room, my mother motioning for us to sit down as she hurries into the kitchen area.  Sebastian and I sit together on the couch as my dad stares at us critically.  "So your aunt gave him high reviews..."  Sebastian glances at me with slight fear in his eyes, "Sir, I've said this before but I really do love your daughter.  So much that it scares me sometimes.  But there is nothing in the world I want more than to be with her forever."

He grabs my hand and places a kiss to it, I'm blushing as my mother returns back to the living room with four tea cups and cookies on a tray.  "I figured we could start your introduction to London with some tea."  She sets it down on the table when she catches a glimpse of my ring and grasps, baby girl.... This draws my fathers attention and he reaches for my hand.  Sebastian reluctantly lets it go so that I can extend it towards my father.  He raises an eyebrow at me and then turns to Sebastian with a smirk, "Son, you've got some taste.  A beautiful ring perfectly fit for my little girl."

And that was all it took.  From my then on Seb is the son or better yet son in law that my parents always wanted. I'm honestly amazed that it was so easy. That night they take us to a cute little fish and chip spot around the corner for dinner, it's really lovely to have our relationship accepted so readily by my parents.

But really, who could ever say no to Sebastian? He's just so precious.

It feels like our trip flies by, days blurring into one another.  Sebastian and I see all the main sites there are to see, while i hope for the odd glimpse of royalty to brag to Rachel and Kurt about.  We spend one afternoon just wandering about the stalls of Borough Market for hours on end, trying everything that we can and picking up plenty of souvenirs for our friends.  Those Warblers better appreciate us for the amount of things we are bringing them back in our suitcases.

My parents are working most days, even though not officially, but I guess they are lesson planning for the upcoming semester or something.  Although they do manage to keep some evenings available to show us some of their favorite restaurants and locales.  We are having lunch at a cute little Indian restaurant with them on New Years Eve day when my dad passes us two tickets.  "Daddy, what are these for??"

My parents share a look between themselves and then turn to Sebastian and I across the table.  "Princess, those are exclusive passes to a party at this teen club some of our students like to go to.  Apparently there is some big dance there tonight."  My mom reaches across the table to grab my hand, "We felt bad that you two couldn't be with your friends tonight so we figured we would do this for you.  Call it another engagement present if you like."

I'm speechless as I hold the tickets in my hand.  Sebastian kisses my temple softly and then turns to my parents with a smile, "Steve, Brenda thank you two so much.  For everything honestly.  I was apprehensive about this whole trip, but you really did make me feel so welcome."  My mother smiles as she reaches across the table to squeeze his hand briefly, "Nonsense Sebastian, you are family now."

They leave us not that long after, Sebastian and I wander through the streets back to our temporary home in London. "So Love, our trip is almost over. Are you sure we can't just stay here?" I turn to him as we stop in the courtyard outside of our flat. "Bastian, you know we can't. All of our friends would be very angry with us." He wraps his arms around my waist and practically growls in my ear as I unlock to the door to the apartment. "Shann, I don't care about any of them. Especially not when you say my name like that. We don't we go have some fun before this party tonight??"

No way I'm objecting at all as I allow him to pull me in the door. We make it as far as the living room before we start shedding our clothing. Perhaps it was a good idea to get us this place while we are here. I'm not sure my parents would appreciate our behavior right about now.

A few hours later and we get ready for the party at the club.  If we can't be back with our friends to ring in the new year this is a close second.  Music is pulsing through the building as Sebastian and I dance to the beat.  His hands grip my hips as his body moves in time with mine.

I honestly have all I need when the clock strikes midnight.  Sebastian pulls me into an earth shattering kiss, despite the crowds of people around.  Because this new year, this is the year we're getting married and I can't wait!
