The One That Got Away (Jared Padalecki × Reader)

   Two weeks later after the whole Elizabeth thing Jared and I acted like nothing had happened but to the media they believed we were done which Jared and I thought was pretty funny, if they wanted to break us up they're gonna have to try harder than that.

    I awoke to the sun hitting my eyes and the smell of eggs mixed with the smell of bacon, along with burnt sausage. I put one of Jared's huge shirts on and walk into the kitchen to see him trying to clear the kitchen from the clear smoke he created, I can't help but laugh.

"Um, should I even ask?" I ask him and he turns around embarrassed.

"I burnt the toast" he says and I laugh at his cuteness, I sit at the counter bar as he hands me a plate with eggs, bacon, and sausage.

"Is there an occasion I don't know about?" I ask and he shakes his head while leaning against the sink to come closer to me, I peck his lips and he smiles.

"Hey so I was thinking since its nice outside and lightly snowing" I glance over my shoulder and see that he was right, it was a beautiful day. "Anyways, we haven't been able to go on a date in forever so I was thinking let's go to Grouse Mountain" I think about it for awhile and nod knowing that the outdoors would be a thing for me.

"Sounds good" I say and he smiles.

     When we arrive at Grouse Mountain, I was immediately hit by the cool air, I zip my jacket even further and Jared grabs my hand as we begin walking up the mountain.

~15 minutes later~

"Um Jare, do you know where you're going?" I ask him as we abruptly stop, he looks at me and chuckles.

"Do you not have faith in me?" He asked and I laugh.

"No! Do you not remember when you made both of us get lost on our school field trip to the national forest!" I say and he laughs at the memory. "I'm glad you still think it's funny"

"Always" he says starting to walk away and I roll my eyes.

"I got bit by a snake!" I say and he chuckles.

"It was fun for me" he says and I scoff
as I start following him again. "Jared where are we going?" he stops once again and I looked at the view that was currently taking my breath away.

"This is so beautiful!" I say turning around to see if Jared was looking but I don't't see him, instead I see him on one knee with a small black box in his hand, my eyes widen and I cover my mouth shocked.

"Y/n, no words can actually describe how lucky I am to meet you, ever since you walked back into my life and took those four staircase steps onto that tiny little bus I knew that you were the one. I want to spend my life with you even when we're past dead, I have and always will love you. y/n y/m/n y/l/n will you make me the happiest man on the planet by marrying me?" He asks and I stare at him in complete shock as he stares at me waiting for my anwser.

"I-I- No" I said "Jared, I've learned alot and because of what Misha once told me, we're still young and I-I still want to embrace it." He stares at me in  complete shock and I don't know what to do. "I love you but I'm sorry" he clears his throat and gets up until I tackled him to the ground making snow cover both of us.
"I'm just playing..YES JARED! About time!" it takes him a few seconds to realize what happen making him start laughing hysterically, he grabs me by hips and presses his soft, warn lips against mine, he backs away from the kiss and slides the beautiful radiant cut ring onto my left finger making me smile widely and attack him with hugs and kisses.

"I love you" he says and I smile than pulled him into a kiss.

"I love you too" I say before he pulls me into another blissful kiss.
