Fall in Place

Xavier's pov:

"Hey pumpkin, how was your first day?" questioned my mom as i was walking through the front door.

"It was good mom, how about you?" I replied hastily but sweetly while questioning myself if it wasn't going to make her suspicious about my straightforward answer.

She raised an eyebrow and squinted her eyes together, i flashed her a bright yet innocent smile to keep things on the low.

She won't suspect a thing.

"My day was.. good" she replied with a soft laugh at the end.

Great, she doesn't have to know you failed your spanish exam, right?

It was dead silent between us two for a while..

Can't get anymore awkward.

"Help me prepare the dining table before your dad comes home, I'm sure he had a tough day at the hospital," replied my mom trying to break the tension between us two that was going on for a while.

Hell no.

"Sure, why not?" I replied while looking down at my feet and clicking my shoes together hoping she'll tell me she can handle it alone.

"Well come help me kiddo!" She said in a goofy tone with a tad of jazz hands at the end.

You've got to be kidding me.

"Coming haha" I said trying to make it seem like i want to even though I'm dreading the second i said yes in the first place.

After 10 minutes

Finally.

"I'm home!!" Said a familiar voice.

Yey, here comes the 'you're gonna be a doctor when you grow up, final decision' dad

"Hey honey" said mom excitedly.

"Hello sweetie, hey pumpkin" said dad replying to mom and greeting me at the same time.

"Hey paps" I replied blandly.

"Let's go to the dining room, I'm starving" Said my dad while rubbing his stomach while making noises with his mouth as if they were coming from his stomach

Funny, really funny.

"Hahahaha" i replied letting it seem that i was really laughing.

We sat down at the dining table and started having our lunch like every other day.

"Oh xavi i forgot to ask you, how was your day? Any new news, or friends?" Asked my dad.

"Today was good, and new friends.. no, the usual you know, me, andrew, blake, mathew, and the rest" i replied purely with a small, teeth hiding smile.

"Well i'm glad you had a good day" said my dad pleasingly.

"Same here" added my mom with a proud smile on her face.

"Thanks guys" i replied with a smile while looking down at my plate.

"That's our boyyyyy" said my parents in sync then looked at each other like they were maniacs.

They both waved there right hand at the same time, then turned away, then looked right back at each other like little kids.

"Copy cat" they said at the same time again like annoyed twins fighting over who needs to change the shirt since they don't want to wear the same top.

"Stopppp!!!" They said at the same time.

They glared at each other for about two minutes, after that my dad cracked up so did mom.

"Weirdos" i said amusingly.

"Hey, how bout studying now so you could go to sleep early, you know since yesterday you didn't get any sleep" said my dad in a stern but joking voice.

"Okay, so good night guys, or good afternoon whatever" i replied before giving them a small laugh.

I walked up the stairs, and lets just face it, I'm not gonna study, i took a shower, laid in my bed and thought about tomorrow.

I sat in my bed, thinking about everything..
wonder if she still thinks about me.

And that, was the last thing i thought about before i dozed off in my comfortable warm bed.
