Jessica's POV
I've never slept this peaceful in my entire life! And don't get the wrong idea people! I did not sleep with her! I slept on the guest room, okay? I woke up to a wonderful smell of coffee and bacon, I think? I went out and saw a beautiful woman drinking coffee on the front porch.
"Hey! Just woke up?"
"Yeah. You didn't have to prepare all these."
"Nah, I don't mind. Sit down!"
So I sat down, admiring the view and fresh air of the forest.
"You know, I think I'll be staying here for a while."
"Staying here, that means sleeping here too, right?
"Yep."
"That's great! But why the sudden change of mind?"
"First, I know that my sister's girlfriend will be moving in with her, so it'll be f*cking awkward. Second, I really like it here and honestly, I wouldn't mind waking up like this everyday."
"But isn't it too far from your office?"
"I have a car, so it doesn't matter. Anyway, aren't you happy?"
"Believe me, I freaking am! By the way, don't you have work?"
"I'll be leaving in a bit."
"Does your sister know about this?"
"Nope, but I'll tell her."
"What are you going to say? That you're going to stay in a friend's house for a while?"
"I'll just say best friend."
"I'm your best friend?"
"Don't you want to be?"
"Wow! The ice princess attitude just flew off the window!"
"Don't dare tell her about this! Please!"
"About you being kind?"
"Yes!"
"Ummm, ok."
"And be prepared if she comes here! She doesn't know you, so she'll want to visit the house that I'll be staying in."
"She really cares for you huh?"
"It's not caring or showing concern, it's poking her nose into someone else's personal life!"
"Anyway thanks for warning me."
"She is a very noisy person, so if she's breaking your eardrums, tell me."
"Wow! Your sister is hilarious!"
"Not a person worth bragging."
"Don't worry, I'll follow your advises."
"Great! Now I have to go. She would probably be in my office right now."
"Yeah. See ya later!"
"Don't prepare dinner ok?"
"Ok... but what are you planning to do?"
"You'll know it. Bye Youngie!~"
"Bye!"
Wait, did I just call her Youngie? Weird, but it sounds good. So I rushed my way to the office, and as expected, Tiffany was already waiting for me, giving me a glare that could kill, if glares do kill people.
"Where have you been last night? You didn't even bother to text or tell me that you ain't coming home?"
"Chill, ok? I just slept at my best friend's house."
"And didn't even bother to tell her sister who's been worrying all night."
"Don't act like you care, and why do I have to tell you where I am whenever I go somewhere? I thought you got used to not communicating with me when I was isolated in Jeju!"
"You know that I didn't have a choice back then."
"You had Tiff, you had! Yes, mom and dad told us that we were not allowed to go near each other, but he didn't say anything about not communicating through the phone!"
"I thought we're already through this."
"Yeah! And I thought that you're already used to not giving a damn about me anymore! I came back because father forced me to, and not to reconcile with a sister who never did anything but make my life hell!"
She remained silent, but was starting to have tears in her eyes.
"I've always regretted the day that I lied for your sake! I thought that the result would be worth the consequences that I was going to face, but I was wrong! And now here you are, acting like father's little spy! Now I know the reason why you never hated this kind of life, because you were always his little angel, and I, on the other hand, was always called a disgrace! If it weren't for me, father might have resented you, or maybe he would have let it slip, because you're his favorite child, anyway. Now get out of my office before I might even kill you!"
She cried so hard, begging for my forgiveness. I really hated her, but still, I somehow care for her.
"Since you won't leave, I'll call Taeyeon."
"I'm sorry Jes! I'm sorry! I never knew that they treated you like that! Please, I'm sorry!"
"Huh, I know you heard all my cries when father was beating me to death, so don't act like you don't know a single sh*t about what I've been through. Please, just leave. I'm asking you in the kindest way that I could ever think of. I'll give all the money and the properties that I own if you want, so please. Just go."
"We can talk about this."
"There's nothing to talk about Tiffany, now get out. I've got some work to do."
She slowly left the room, but stopped at the door and said something.
"I know that what happened in the past was the reason why you're that cold even towards me, but it won't do anything. I'm sorry for everything that happened to you, but don't ever think that I've wanted it to happen, because the most painful moment that I have experienced in my entire life was seeing you leave. Father already knows the truth. I know you'll never believe any word that I say, but I love you, and I hope that one day, we could be as happy as we were when we only cared about each other." Then she closed the door.
Thanks to her, I couldn't work anymore. So I decided to go home, bring all my clothes, and went to Youngie.
"You're back so early! Did something happened?"
"I'll tell you later. We're going to the mall, so fix yourself. Wear the clothes that I gave you! You might be mistaken for a granny if you don't!"
"Aye aye, Captain!"
Few minutes later, she went out, looking like some Victoria's Secret model.
"Wow, you look amazing!"
"I find it weird to dress like this."
"You'll get the hang of it soon, now let's go!"
"Okay!"
