The MAW jumped out to me & held me down.
"BEN!" I cried. The worm was trying to eat my face off, but before it could do that, Ben got a shotgun & shot it. It's armor was protecting it & it turned away from me & jumped Ben. He fell onto the floor with shock & he called out to me & told me to kill. I-I never killed-d one... Ben was slowly losing his strength & the worm was getting very close to his face. It's head popped out & sniffed the air. I pointed the gun at its head & said, "HEY!" It looked up to me.
"Get the fuck away from him you bastard."
BOOM! The sound of the shotgun echoed loudly through the hangar, so did the worm's cries. I kept shooting at it & it kept crying & screeching.
"DIE!"
It jumped at me & I pulled the trigger. The blast flung the powder into the MAW's direction & towards its face. It peered out & they collided like a car accident. It fell to the ground & stopped moving. I presumed dead & threw the gun at Ben when he stood up.
You little piece of shi- It bit my left foot & I cried in pain & agony. Ben loaded the gun again & pulled the trigger. He shot it near my foot a couple of times, but he didn't hurt it. It was NOW dead & my foot was about to be too. It let go of my foot slowly & when I had the chance to pull it free, it's mouth snapped right before I pulled my foot away from it. Ben shot it again & again. The worms color was sorta blue-ish grey & when it died, it turned to white. It shriveled an inch & it's armor was now lose.
"We need to dispose it." Ben said. "We need to tell them." I replied. "They don't need to-" "What if another one came in. And you're not there. What if it got me & you're not there." "Fine." He left in anger. It's common sense to tell other people about this. What if we don't & another comes. It'll get a person & they'll help when he's dead.
"Why did you want to leave it here? Alive..." I said. Hoping to get a good reason, I didn't. Well, sorta.
"For science." He stated. Science. That's what got us in this place. That & eventuality.
Ever since I met him, he wasn't all science-y n' shit. He looked like a football enthusiast or a game player. I didn't know.
"Since when do you wanna talk science?" I said. He gave a sigh, hesitate breath.
"Ever since I got here & before that, I was trying to look for you. I started to dig deeper in the world of science. It took me a few survival training tests to realize what's going on. Your 'friend', Howard-"
He stopped. He looked at my face & confused me with Howard & himself.
"Howard. He's the one who got us in this mess." He ended.
I had nothing left to say about that topic. He instantly changed the subject after he talked about 'my friend.'
"He died in an explosion. We won't have to worry about him anymore." I replied.
After I said that, I had a feeling come over me. It wasn't peace & serenity. It was the feeling of dread. I never felt dread since my father...
I stood there, idle & lost, confused actually.
He pulled out a ring. He got down on one knee, looked up at me.
"Will you marry me?"
