Lana's POV~
The rest of the day was spent with my head on Austin chest. Falling asleep to his heartbeat.

I woke up with my head on a pillow and not a muscled chest. I knew he left to get ready for school at his house, but a little part of me wished he didn't. His father should be sobered up by now.
I got out of bed and laid out my outfit for school. Which consisted of a black tank top, an aztec print heavy cardigan, black leggings and Uggs. I decided to wear my hair in a messy bun. Once that was done I headed downstairs for breakfast.
I was welcomed into the kitchen with a screaming match between my dad and my sister. My mom was hunched over the stove making pancakes. I couldn't comprehend what my dad and sister were arguing about but I think it had to do with who took the last piece of bacon. Thank God I don't have to worry about that. Mom makes me a personal pile of bacon. You NEVER touch my bacon. I walked over to the cupboard to grab the Nutella jar and a butter knife. I sat in one of the chairs at the bar while my mom put 3 pancakes and bacon in my face. I spread the Nutella on each pancake while munching on bacon.
"Did Austin leave this morning? I heard the door but was too tired to check." My mom asked me. Of course my parents are aware that Austin sleeps over. The only house rule: no secrets. I mean of course there are others but that's the main one.
"Yea he didn't want to go home and I didn't want to pressure him into leaving." He responded not making eye contact with her. They don't know his father turned into an alcoholic after the death of Leslie.
"Okay. Now I know you're responsible but please tell me you guys didn't have sex." The thing that I love about my mom is that she's every blunt. She's from New York, we'll both my parents are, so it's in their blood, that's the only explanation I have for it.
"No mom." I said looking up at her with a smile on my face and a mouthful of pancakes. She had a face of amused and disappointed while looking at me. I knew that'd make her walk away. Finally after their voices cracking Maddie and dad left their conversation. She sat down next to me at the bar.
"I paid him my debt so we're all good. And I already requested for more hours at Panera." She told me a hushed voice.
"Ok," The doorbell rang. My dad went to answer it. I had a feeling who it was but it wasn't confirmed until I heard her happy, cheery voice at 6:25 in the morning. She only acts that way in front of my parents even though they've known her, her whole life. She finally walks through the door to where I'm sitting and kissed my cheek.
"Hey girl hey," Lexi greeted.
"Lexi honey you can stop with the preppy white girl voice, it's too early in the morning." My mother directed towards her. She obeyed. Lexi turned her heads towards me and had a face of confusion and friendly disgust.
"Okay Nutella face," She said as she wiped away Nutella off of my face. "Let's go!" She commanded me, I nodded. I finished my pancakes and ran to my shower with Lexi in tow, but she went to my room. I quickly took a shower and dried myself off. I dried my hair with the blow dryer aiming at it not with contact. I got dressed fast and let my hair fall in its natural wave. Lexi was just sitting on my bed, on her phone texting away.
"Ok I'm ready...let's go." She finally looked up at me and hit home on her iPhone. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. I kissed my mom and dad goodbye. I licked Maddie's face ( that's how we say goodbye). Before I could leave Maddie said,
"Hey since you come home sooner than I do. Can you order pizza?" She asked
"Okay just text my what you want and I'll order." With that I left for school with Lexi.
