Chapter Nine

Sawyer looked at Daryl who nodded before she sighed and looked at Beth.

"I have a boyfriend, he's fifteen and my dance partner now before you freak out Mr. Dixon wants to say something. " Sawyer said.

"I know Grayson Hunter and he's a good kid with a lot of respect for girls, he is very nice and funny." He said.

"How long have you been seeing him?" She asked.

"About six months" Sawyer said then flinched.

"SIX MONTHS, YOU HAVE BEEN DATING A BOY THAT YOU KNOW YOU SHOULDN'T BE AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME IMMEDIATELY!!" she yelled.

"Mom I'm sorry" Sawyer said.

"I have no clue what to say to you right now." Beth said before looking at Daryl. "I just wanted to come by and tell you that Sawyer has dance lessons at-" she said but was interruped as she put Nolan's guitar case downand Sawyer's dance clothes down on the table.

"At three and Nolan has guitar lessons at two, don't worry I will get them there on time." He said.

"Thank you" she said then looked at Sawyer. "We will talk about this when Nolan and Royal are better." She said then walked out.

"My life is over" Sawyer said.

"Why don't you go get ready for your dance lesson?" Daryl said. Sawyer just stood up and took her plate to the sink before going back over to the table and grabbing her dance clothes before heading upstairs.

"That was intense" Nolan said.

"You can say that again." Daryl said.

"Can I be excused?" Nolan asked.

"Go ahead" Daryl said then stood up with his half finished plate of pancakes. He went over to the garbage and dumped the food in the trash. Nolan did the same before putting his plate in the sink. Daryl quickly cleaned the dishes before checking the time. It was one thirty.

"Nolan, go tell your sister that it's time to go."

"Okay" he said before rushing off. Daryl went over and grabbed the guitar case then went over to the conter and grabbed his keys and wallet before going to stand at the door. A minute later, Nolan and Sawyer came down the stairs, Sawyer had on her dance outfit with a black sweater over it. They headed outside and got into Daryl's car. Nolan gave Daryl direction to where his guitar lesson were being held and they made it on time.

"What time do you want me to pick you up?" He asked.

"Three fifteen" he said before grabbing his guitar case and heading inside. Daryl then looked over at Sawyer.

"Are we going to Baskins Robins or Cold Stone?" He asked.

"Cold Stone" she said. He nodded before driving to Cold Stones, once they got there they parked the car and headed inside. Sawyer smiled as she saw Grayson, Grayson stood up as she ran to him. They kissed for a second before pulling away, Daryl went over and ordered himself a vanilla cone before sitting down at a booth where he could keep on eye on the love birds. He wondered if they would last long.

Beth was trying not to think about her little girl dating an older guy. She was still mad that Sawyer had broken the rules and had not told her about it. She was surprised that Daryl had put his thought in it but she realized that he had only done it for Sawyer which made her attraction to him grow. Yes, she was attracted to Daryl Dixon, who wouldn't be he's gorgeous.

"Mom, are you okay?" Roman asked.

"Did you know about Sawyer dating?" She asked making him sigh.

"We all told her when we caught her at the park kissing him to tell you but she refused." Roman said.

"I swear I don't understand that child sometimes." Beth said.

"Mom, Sawyer is a smart girl and she knows your rule of no dating but what if she found the one." Roman said.

"No one finds the one at twelve." Beth said.

"Didn't your grandparents find each other when they were twelve?" He asked.

"Yes but they didn't actually start dating till they were sixteen." She said.

"But grandma said that it was love at first sight so what if that is what's happening with Sawyer and her boyfriend." He said. Beth sighed and looked at her son.

"When did you get so smart?" Roman chuckled and hugged his mother. Beth hugged her son back before going to check on the twins. She decided to worry about it when the twins got better and when Sawyer and Nolan came home. She would also worry about her growing attraction to Mr. Dixon later.
