Chapter Fourteen

The next morning Beth woke up to five kids hovering above her, Roman, Ireland, Marley, Sawyer and Nolan smiled at her making her stare at them.

"How was it?" Ireland asked.

"How was what?" She teased.

"Stop playing with us woman and tell us how your date with McHotty went." Sawyer said.

"First of all back up, second of all, let me get up and get ready then I will tell you at breakfast." Beth said.

"Come on, we have been waiting since you got home, don't make us wait." Marley said. Beth sat up making them step back.

"Fine, the date went well and there is a pretty good chance that there will be a second date." Beth said. "Now let me get ready for the day since it's Friday and I have a meeting today." A round of yes's and we did it went through the room making Beth roll her eyes and get up. The kids left and Beth went over and closed her door before heading to her bathroom. She took a shower before getting out and doing her personal hygiene stuff. She then got dressed and headed to wake the other kids up. Once she was done with that she headed downstairs to get breakfast started.

"Don't worry about lunches mom we did it last night." Roman said coming into the kitchen.

"What would I do without you guys?" She asked.

"Probably be an old lady with at least twenty cats." Roman smiled.

"Watch it mister" she warned making Roman laugh. During breakfast Ireland told Beth that she had finally got her driver license.

"Good job Ireland"

"Thanks" she said then turned to Roman who knew where this was going.

"No" Roman said.

"Oh come on let me drive." Ireland said.

"No, it's my car get your own." He said. Beth sighed as Ireland turned to her.

"Mom, how am I supposed to get better at driving if I can't drive." She said.

"I will buy you a used car like I did your brother but it's your job to pay for gas and the maintenance so don't ask for money." She said.

"Thanks mom" she said. After that Beth drove the kids to school and the babysitter for Giovanni before heading to work. Once she got to work her receptionist, Skylar handed her her cup of tea.

"Thanks Sky, tell me what is on the schedule for today?" Beth asked.

"Well you have a meeting with Frank Vargas at ten about a trading deal, then you have another meeting with Drew Hayes at eleven thirty to talk about a new device, then you are having lunch with your sister and brother, then-

"Wait a minute, Eli is here in Atlanta?" Beth stopped in the middle of the hallway.

"Yes, he got here last night." Skylar said. Beth was excited that her brother was here and she was also curious to why he was here.

"What else?" She said then continued to walk to her office. Skylar told her about the rest of her meetings as she entered her office. After that Skylar left her office and Beth sat down at her desk reading about the new technology that needed a signature to do test trials. A few minutes later a knock interrupted her.

"Come in" Skylar came in with a vase of red roses.

"Someone named Daryl sent these." Skylar said. Beth smiled as Skylar set them down on her desk. She sniffed them smelling the freshness before taking the card from the flowers and reading it.

I enjoyed our time last night, how about date two on Saturday

Beth quickly pulled out her phone and began sending a response.

"Thanks for the Rose's, I would love too, where and what time?" She texted.

"I was thinking a ride on my motorcycle to a place where we can have a picnic at twelve in the afternoon." He responded.

"Sounds great, can't wait." She texted smiling.

"Has Miss. I'm-not-going-to-date-anyone finally started dating?" Skylar teased.

"Yes I have" Beth said before looking at the roses.

"Well tell me the details, is he cute and has he heard about the kids?" Skylar asked.

"He's hot and he knows about the kids and he's met five of them." Beth said getting ready for her meeting.

"Well I hope it works out for you." She said.

"Me too" Beth said as she gathered her stuff and then headed to the first meeting. Three and a half hours later, Beth was on her way to meet her sister and brother at Denny's, she got there and was greeted by Maggie and Eli.

"Eli, what are you doing here, I thought you were in California with Molly and Jackson?" Beth asked.

"Well I had some business in Atlanta and thought I should visit my two favorite sisters." He said as they took a seat in a booth.

"We are glad you are here." Maggie said then turned her gaze to Beth. "Now how was your date with the hot history teacher?" She asked making Eli's eyebrows raise.

"Hot history teacher?" He said.

"Beth had a date with her oldest kids hot history teacher." Maggie said.

"And how did it go?" Eli asked.

"So good that he asked me to join him on a motorcycle ride to a place where we are having a picnic." Beth smiled.

"Oh my gosh, you like this guy" Maggie said smiling.

"I kinda do" Beth said.

"Tell us more about him." Eli said.

"I'm not going to spend our time talking about Daryl so-" she said but was interrupted.

"Daryl the hot history teacher" Maggie giggled.

"Who are you, a school girl with a crush?" Beth asked.

"No I'm just so excited that my little sister has finally joined the dating scene." She said.

"Yeah well if it wasn't for McHotty I wouldn't be dating at all." Beth said making Eli and Maggie laugh.
