He'll never like you, he never did.
The world itself hates you.
Those words kept repeating and repeating in my mind. I hated it. I wanted it to go away. I had felt my eyes squeeze tighter just to stop the tears from pouring out, and I felt my teeth clench as they repeated their hurtful words in my head. It was painful, and I felt bruises and scars attack my heart as I asked them to stop, the voices declining.
Loopy?
I paused at the sound of my name echoing across the darkness. It had stood out among the multiple other roars coming from the nightmare in front of me.
Loopy? It had repeated, "Loopy! Wake up!". That demand made my eyes open wide straight away, my waist pulling me up and making me breathe heavily. I felt sweat trickle down my body as I turned to a magenta beanie. It was Zany, except with a look of relief yet worry on his face.
"Z-Zany...?"
"Are you okay?!" Zany blurted out almost immediately.
"What happened...?" I asked him, wiping off a drop of sweat on my cheek.
"You were having a nightmare!" he explained as loudly as possible, probably forgetting that nightmares don't make people deaf. He paused for a second as he tapped his chin in thought, glaring up at the wooden ceiling above him, "At least...It looked like it. You were mumblin' and nearly cryin'; the whole deal.". He turned back to me, "Are you okay?" he repeated, however much quieter much to my relief. I nodded, the beanie soon sighing thankfully. He smiled, "Good. You needed to get up anyway. The first event starts soon.". Zany walked over to his bag to grab his sweatband as I hopped out of bed, my legs shaking as they woke up. The two of us then went out the door and locked up the cabin, then giving each other a chance to look at the timetable of events we were given, the first one being the scissor race. I felt a frown grow creases in my cheeks as I looked back up.
"Well, this'll be interesting..." I said, trudging over to the first course of the day, and Zany soon following after me in his usual happy mood.
