Zany sat up with his mouth shaped as an 'O', his eyelids blinking as he looked at me with a confused look, "Lunch?". I stood up and glanced down at him, helping him up. "Why not?" I said, "We deserve a break from this nightmare, anyway.". His bewildered expression soon turned to happiness as he nodded enthusiastically, his hands closing together in delight.

"Of course! Anything for my saviour!" he exclaimed, a little more high pitched than usual. I grabbed onto his arm to stop him from bowing again, his reaction making me chuckle a bit. "No need for all that again," I had told him, "It's what friends are for...". I paused for a second; 'Friends...', I thought during my short silence, 'Why does that word hurt me so much...?'. "Now, should we head off?" I asked the smaller being after shaking away my inaudible thoughts, my pupils watching his head nod happily and his hands try to fix his sweatband in position. I chuckled again, "Where to?"

"How about that café that you used to work in?" Zany mentioned, "Ya know, the one near the Rio Stadidumb?"

"You mean that one I died in because I didn't know how to work the coffee machine?". Zany's head assented, my eyes rolling as we began to walk to the station, "Man, I feel so sorry for all the other people who died or got hurt whilst using that thing. That machine was shit.". The magenta beanie giggled in agreement as we made our way through the entrance of the station, buying our tickets and sitting down on a wooden bench nearby; our eyes glanced at a taller person with a neatly styled haircut waiting at the gates, his expression showing his impatience. I cringed as he forcefully pushed the gate open just as the train came, leaving yet again another bloody mess for the day.

"I guess we came at the right time, unlike him." I laughed out as we made our way to the train in front of us.
