Our lips were centimeters apart when someone knocked on the door. We jumped apart, blushing, as Sebastian opened the door. "Is everything alright Young master, Miss (y/n)? I heard yelling-" He stopped, looking at our faces and smirking. I could tell he didn't really care whether Ciel did anything or not, but he found it amusing none the less. "What was going on in here, Young master?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. That just caused us to blush more. "Well, I see that you are both fine, so I shall take my leave." Then he bowed and left. I looked back at Ciel and said "So, about what I said to Elizabeth in your office a few weeks ago, am I a maid?" "Only if you want to be." He said kindly. I thought for a moment. "I'll help like I'm a maid, but I won't wear the outfit." I told him. He chuckled. "Alright." He said. We stared at each other for a bit before I said "Um, so I should go downstairs to help, Young master." I said while giggling. Not realizing what I had just done, I walked out of the room, catching a glimpse of Ciel's shocked face.
As I walked down the hallway I thought about the moment when Ciel and I almost kissed. That was close. But, would I have liked it? Would he have been disgusted? Would it be his first kiss? Wait what the hell? Why did I think that? I don't... like him, do I? With a start I found myself at the kitchen door. And something smells like gunpowder...wait, gunpowder! I ran into the kitchen to see it charred and blackened, and standing in the middle of it all is Bard. "Bard!" I yelled. "What the fuck did you do!?" He laughed and rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Well, I wanted to cook dinner fast so I wanted to use my.. dynamite." He said. I swear my eyes are going to pop out of my head. Then I saw the dynamite in his left hand. I ran up to him, grabbed the dynamite and ran. "Hey, I was usin' that!" He yelled. "Not anymore!" I shouted back. He began chasing after me.
I heard a scream in front of me, so I looked up, to see Mey-rin falling, with a bunch of plates in her hands. I dropped the dynamite and caught all the plates with one hand and Mey-rin in the other. "Mey-rin, what have I told yo-" I was cut off by Bard crashing into us, making me drop
Mey-rin and sent all the plates flying. I let out a scream. When I hit the floor, Bard landed on top of me, knocking the wind out of me. I closed my eyes, waiting for the sound of plates shattering, but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw Sebastian smirking at me. I glared at him. "Get off me!" I hissed at Bard. He stood up immediately, picked up his dynamite, and ran off. I sighed, then looked at Sebastian. "Thanks." I was breathing hard from Bard landing on me. "But if I couldn't catch falling plates, then what kind of butler would I be?" He asked. I giggled. "Not one hell of a butler." He smiled, this time it looked like it was almost real. "Exactly." Then he handed me the plates and walked away.
'Okay...' I thought as I walked to the table and set it, then stood back with everyone else.
Ciel walked through the door with Sebastian following him. He sat down and looked around until his eyes landed on me. He motioned me over, so I walked to him. "Just because your helping like a maid doesn't mean you have to act just like one." He said. "Oh..." I said as I sat down. Sebastian brought dinner out with a plate and silverware for me. "Dinner is served." Sebastian sat as he sat our food down in front of us. "Beef Donburi with a glass of wine." He said then stood back with the others "Thank you" I said to all of them.
