Chapter 14

Scarlet's pov.

Ciel was impatiently waiting for me to start talking. i couldn't look at him or Sebastian. "what happened?" Ciel asks in a kind voice. i take a deep calming breath. "another flashback. it was a bad memory and i don't want to relive it again." i say. i look up and regretted it. the hurt in Ciel's eyes and the pain and confusion in Sebastian's made my heart brake. "i'll tell you. when i was 7 my step-dad's friends poured beer on me. beer is like ale i guess. then my step-dad put his cigar on it and burned me several times. they poured something else on me i don't know what. i couldn't move my arm or walk for almost a month after that. when i was better i went to see the officer's that saved me only to be shot by my step-dad in a police station." i say.

Ciel holds up a card. "explain this." he says. i take the card and let out a small gasp. after that flashback i remember officer Michaelis looks a lot like Sebastian. "the officer who saved me gave me his card so if my step-dd hurt me again he would come and help me out the best he could. he was really sweet and had the most amazing eyes. i never did get to thank him or see him again." i say as i play with the card. Ciel frowns and looks at Sebastian. "go find him." Ciel says. i laugh a little which earned me a harsh look from Ciel. "you can't send Sebastian to my time to find a cop who was killed." i say.

i found out after waking up that officer Michaelis was behind me when my step-dad shot me and was killed. i blamed myself for it and had left flowers on his grave. Sebastian walks over to me and places a hand on my left shoulder. "it isn't your fault. you should go take a shower and get some sleep." Sebastian says. Ciel opens his mouth to say something but didn't/ i stand and take a small step forward. i was still a little shaky and felt strong arms around me.

when i look behind me i see Sebastian smiling and let him help me to my room. once the door was closed he turns me around to look at him. "i was worried about you." he says as he brushes hair out of my face. i let him pull me into a tight hug and rest my head on his shoulder. "i'm sorry." i whisper. when he lets me go i pull his head down to me before kissing him. he pulls away and turns me. "get some clean cloths and shower." he says. i nod and walk over to my bag. i grab some clothes before heading to the shower.

Sebastian's pov.

i watch Scarlet head to the bathroom and hear the water from the shower start. i leave her room and head to the young master's room. he was sitting on his bed waiting for me. "how is she?" he asks. i walk over to him before shrugging. "she looks better. she's in the shower right now." i say. i help him change and put him to bed. Ciel gives a sigh. "keep an eye on her tonight." Ciel says. "i will." i say before leaving his room. i walk back to Scarlet's room. she was just coming out of the bathroom. "Sebastian will you stay with me?" she asks. i walk over to her. "i will always stay with you." i say. i pick her up and lay her on her bed.

i lay by her and wrap my arms around her waist. i gently run my fingers throw her long soft hair. "i love you Sebastian." Scarlet mumbles before drifting off to sleep. i was shocked to hear her say that. "i love you too." i say before kissing her head. Scarlet gentle breathing was a comforting sound and all my worries start to melt away. i close my eyes and feel Scarlet curl up closer to me. a few hours later i hear her door open and a few whispers.

"i told you Sebastian was going to be with her." Bard hisses. i give a small sigh. what could those three want? "let's leave them alone. Scarlet must have had a nightmare." Mey-Rin says. they leave with a few crashes. once the door is closed i can hear Scarlet sigh. i look down at her and she rolls over pressing her back into me. i stayed with Scarlet until it was time to get the young master up and make breakfast before going up to the young master's room and waking him,

Ciel's pov.

after Sebastian gets me up and changed i walk to Scarlet's room. she was still asleep but a small whimper escapes her. i rush over to her bed and grab-ed her hand. her eyes shot open and a small scream escapes her. i gently touch her face, she stops screaming and takes a few deep breaths. Sebastian comes running into the room and stops when he sees us. "is everything alright?" he asks. i give a small nod. Scarlet gets out of bed and runs over to Sebastian. "Scarlet are you OK?" i ask as i walk over to her. "i um..i don't know." she says. she was holding onto Sebastian's arm. Sebastian gets Scarlet to sit on her bed. i sit by her and she leans her head on my shoulder.

"what was that about?" i ask her, she sits up and looks away. "it was nothing. please don't worry about it Ciel." Scarlet says before she stands up. Sebastian had a worried look on his face. Scarlet walks away from us and over to the window. "who did you meet on the way home that upset you?" Sebastian asks. i look at him then at her. Scarlet stiffens and slowly turns to look at us. "who said i ran into someone?" Scarlet asks in a cold tone. i wanted to back away from her because that tone was so harsh. Sebastian didn't flinch and he took several steps forward. "Scarlet please tell me." Sebastian asks in a pleading tone. i had never heard Sebastian pleas for anything from anyone.

Scarlet's pov.

Sebastian was pleading with me to tell him about what my dad had said. i didn't want to tell him with Ciel in the room. it would brake Ciel's heart to hear that my father wanted to take me away from them in a year and a half. i was so lost in my thoughts that i didn't notice Sebastian now standing in front of me. "i'll tell you...i had a nightmare where you both were killed and i couldn't save you." i say as a few tears start to fall.

Ciel pushes Sebastian to the side before hugging me. "that will never happen. Sebastian and i will make sure of it." Ciel says. i pull away from him and give a small smile. "young master we should go so that Scarlet can get ready for the day." Sebastian says as he guides Ciel out of the room. when they get to the door Sebastian gives me a look that said our conversation wasn't over. i waited until i couldn't hear them to start pulling out cloths. i change into a gold tank-top and black skinny jeans. i slid on gold colored finger-less gloves before doing my make up. i outline my eyes i black before putting on my gold eye-shadow and gold lipstick. i slip on my dark yellow and black converse. i put my hair up in a french twist using gold and black rose hair clips to hold it up.

i head down to the dinning room to find Ciel eating and Sebastian pouring his tea. i take my seat by Ciel and watch them. after about 10 minutes Ciel looks up at Sebastian. "go get Scarlet, she should not be taking this long." Ciel says. i laugh and they both look at me. after i calm down i give them a smile. "Scarlet?" Ciel asks. "i've been sitting here for 10 minutes and neither one of you noticed me." i say. Ciel shakes his head and looks a bit annoyed obviously because of my shirt. Sebastian's eyes flash fusha and he gives me a sly smile. he serves me my meal and tea.

Sebastian's pov.

Scarlet was a golden goddess and she was mine. i stood as close to her as i could because i needed to protect her. when the young master and Scarlet were done i cleaned up quickly and found them talking in the young master's study. "Ciel do you mind if i take Sebastian for a while?" Scarlet asks. i was hoping that the young master would let me go. the young master nods and dismisses me. i follow Scarlet out to the garden.

"we need to talk about something." Scarlet says and she wouldn't look at me. i gently lift her chin forcing her to look at me. "Scarlet dear you can tell me anything." i say. she blushes a little then pulls away from me. "you asked about who stopped me. it was my father and he tried to take me away." she says. i was mad and knew my eyes flashed. she grabbed my arm and i look at her fear full eyes. "i convinced him to let me stay for a year and a half. i was...i didn't want to go with him because of..." she says. because of what? what was she going to say? i needed to know. i grab her and give her a hug. i didn't want to ever let her go.

"because of what?" i ask her gently. she slowly looks up at me throw her long eyelashes. "you, it was because of you." she says. i could feel my heart burst with joy. i gently kiss her and when i pull away she looked breathless. "that makes me a rather happy demon." i say. she blushes and looks at the ground. i chuckle and her blush darkens. "you look absolutely ravishing my dear." i say before gently tracing the outline of her jaw. i give a smile as she shudders under my touch.

"he might not be able to take you away in that time frame. i'm not going to let you go." i whisper into her ear enjoying her shivering against me. "Sebastian...we should keep walking." Scarlet says and i let her pull away. we walk for a little longer before we stop walking again. "i didn't say anything odd last night before i feel asleep?" she asks. i give her a sly smile. "you told me you loved me." i say. she blushes again before pulling her closer to me.

"i love you as well. i was giddy to hear you say that last night." i say. her blush deepens before she kisses me. she wasn't wearing one of those odd earrings in her lip today so i didn't have the cold metal on my lips. she runs her tong against my bottom lip begging for entrance into my mouth. i denied her and pull away from her. "we need to go back now. the young master will be wanting his tea soon." i say. Scarlet looks a little hurt but that look disappears as i place a gentle kiss on her lips. we walk home and i leave Scarlet in that room with the hops that she seamed to love so much.
