Chapter 9

Ciel's Pov.

Scarlet was dressed inappropriately again and wanted to leave the house. i made up an excuse to keep her home. when we were done eating we went to my study to do some work. She learned edict and how to be lady like by the time it was for lunch. "do i need to know anyone in particular?" she ask. i look at her and nod. i noticed Sebastian looking Scarlet ip and down and wondered if he had thought about courting her. "you should get some work done today Ciel. i'll go out to the garden and walk around. we can work on learning people tomorrow." she says. i nod and she gets up to leave. "stay close in-case anything happens." i say as she leaves.

Sebastian's Pov.

The young master turns to look at me once Scarlet leaves and gives me a smile. "help her chose a dress for our meeting. i don't need you to do my work so go start tea or something." he says. i bow before leaving the study. i go out to the garden and find Scarlet quickly. "did you want to walk with me?" Scarlet asks. "is that what a boy from your time would do?" i ask. she frowns and shakes her head no. "no boy would do that with me. most boys would give girls anything to get sex quickly." she says. i offer her my arm and she takes it before we start to walk. i take her to my favorite place in the garden and she smiles at me. "this is pretty. did you like the purple roses before i showed up?" she asks. i had liked those roses but not the purple ones as much as the red.

Scarlet's Pov.

Sebastian looked deep in thought and didn't notice i had let go of his hand. i walk over to a rose bush that was almost a blood red color. i feel Sebastian's hands on my head. i turn to look at him and he had a dark purple rose in one hand. "may i?" he asks motioning to my hair. i nod and feel him work the rose into my hair. his fusha eyes stair into mine when he pull back. "do you want to kiss me again?" i ask. Sebastian smiles and puts an arm around my waist and pulls me closer.

"i do, but if you don't i won't." he whispers in my ear. he lets me go and starts to step back from me. i throw my arms around his neck and place a gentle kiss on his lips. i pull back and give a small giggle seeing Sebastian's lips smeared with purple. "is Ciel going to be looking for you?" i ask. Sebastian had a shocked look and it took him a few to realize i had spoken. "no i have some time before he will need me." he says before pulling me in for another kiss. i don't fight as he kisses me but when i feel his tongue gently trace the bottom of my lip i'm ready to pull away. he lets me and i can seen the hurt in his eyes.

"let's take it slow." i say. he nods and takes out a handkerchief and clears my face. "don't wear this when we go out. i will make a mess every time i kiss you." he says. i take the handkerchief from him and gently clean his lips. "i always dress up like this when i wear a dress. do you like it?" i ask. his eyes were closed and i let my finger gently trace the outline of his lips. he gently grabs my hand and gently kisses it. we start to walk back up to the house. "why did you wear that dress today?" Sebastian asks. i frown a little and look at the ground.

"i thought you would like it." i say. he gently lifts my head and i see his smile. "be on time for tea." he says before leaving me alone in the garden. i walk back into the garden and find a bench i had sat on a few days ago. i was going to try the summoning again today and that's why i had dressed up. i pull out the small knife from my boot and look around carefully before making the first cut. after all the cuts were made the man from 7  years ago showed up. "who are you?" he asks as he walks up to me.

"my name is Scarlet." i say. his eyes soften and he kneels in front of me. "do i know you?" he asks. i nod meekly and smile. "i saw you 7 years ago at a park." i say. he grabs my cut up arm (my left arm) and removes my glove and turns it to see the top. "who are your parents?" he asks. i let a tear fall down my face. "i don't know. i was supposed to meet them 7 years ago at that park i saw you at." i say in a shaky voice. he takes my knife from me and cuts his hand letting his blood fall on my birthmark. i glows brighter and he smiles.

"i'm Victor. it's nice to finally meet you sweetheart." he says as he pulls me into his arms. i cry as he holds me. my dad was a demon and holding me. he pulls away and looks me over carefully. "how old are you?" dad asks as he grabs my hand again. "17, are you really my dad?" i ask. "yes, you have my eyes and hair but you have your mothers lips. i have to go, that other demon is coming. i'll come back to talk to you soon." dad says before kissing my fourhead. he leaves me there stunt and alone. i feel Sebastian sweep me up into his arms. "are you alright? where did that other demon go?" he asks. i give a small nod and let him carry me back to the manner. he places me in a seat in Ciel's study.

Ciel gives us a confused look. "there's another demon. they were in the garden near Scarlet." Sebastian says. Ciel jumps out of his seat and walks over to me. "kill him." Ciel says. "no! don't kill him." i scream. i jump out of my seat and rush to the door. Sebastian catches me and i let out a small sob. "why? he could kill you." Ciel demands. "he wouldn't kill me. why would he kill his child?" i say. Ciel looks lost for words and Sebastian looks thoughtful.

"if you kill him i'll never see you two again." i say as i wiggle out of Sebastian's hold. i know it was hurtful to say but they both looked at eachother. "fine, Sebastian don't  kill him but bring him here to talk." Ciel says. Sebastian bows and leaves us. after about 20 minutes Sebastian returns alone. "he's gone, i couldn't catch him." Sebastian says. Ciel nods before setting back at his desk. i stand from my chair and head to the door. "are you mad at us?" Ciel asks.

i turn to look at him. "a little. i need some space. see you at dinner." i say before storming out of the room. i can hear someone following me. i take off running as fast as i can to the front door. whoever was following me keeps up and just as i'm about to touch the door handle Sebastian appears. i stop moving and look coldly at him. i see Finny and Bard talking and turn to them walking quickly. "Finny let's go for a walk. i want to see what herbs you have." i say. Finny bluses and nods his head as he offers me his hand. i take it and let Finny pull me to the kitchen. i look behind me to see a hurt looking Sebastian but he also looked angrily at Finny.
