Imani's POV
It's dark and quiet I can't see anything but I start to scream but nothing comes out of my mouth when I stop I hear a female voice
“How are you related?” some female voice asks
“She's my girlfriend” Aubrey's voice says
“Says on her cart that she's one moth pregnant is this your first child?” the woman's voice asks
“No, we've got a four year old” he answers
I smile he thinks of Mishon as his own
“What are you hoping for?”
“I don't care as long as our baby's health” he replies
“Good answer” she says
Then a hear footsteps shuffle out the room and a door open and close
I feel Aubrey's hand holding mine “Today's Sunday” he chuckles “I was going to propose tonight but it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon” he says
That's when I see light and my eyes slowly began to open
Aubrey's eyes are opened widely “Imani” he says hugging me “I love you so much”
“Yes” I say
“Yes to what?”
“Yes to your proposal” I say smiling
“Wait, you heard me say that?”
“Yeah, I heard everything you said”
“This isn't how I planned this--” he begins
“Do it right now” I say
“Right now?” he asks
“Please”
“Alright” he says getting on one knee with a red box
“How long have you had this ring?” I ask
“For awhile, can I propose now?”
“Oh, yeah sorry about that”
“Imani Young will you marry me?” he says opening the red box
“No, just kidding, yes, of course I will” I say
He takes the ring out of the box it was silver band with diamonds all around and one big in the center he put the ring on my left hand middle finger
“Imani Graham” I say
He smiles “I like the way that sounds” he says
“Me too”
Aubrey presses his lips against mine our kissing is sweet and innocent we continue until a voice disrupts us “Imani, your awake” Romeo says
Aubrey and I pull away “Come here” I say he comes over and we hug
“I'm so glad your awake” he says
“Me, too, where's Trent and Mishon?”
“Trent's downstairs and Mishon's with Keisha”
“Where's C--”
“That nigga is locked up” Romeo says getting mad
“Good” I say
“I'mma go get Trent” Romeo says leaving
“Okay” I say
Then a doctor comes in “It's nice to see a conscious Imani” he says
