The sun was blazing down on Bellamy and his new found peers as they trekked their way through the forest and across the river, following the tracks Monty stopped. Eventually, as it turned just past high noon, they found themselves wandering through a field of high weeds.
"Ask you a question?" A darker man named Pike proposed to the dark-haired adult beside him. Bellamy nodded as the go-ahead but kept his eyes in front of him. "Last report we got on the Ark, you were under attack by Grounders. What changed?"
"Turns out we had a common enemy."
"What happened to them?" Pike asked. Bellamy flinched slightly at the question, his mind still lingering on the pain that was deep inside of him. The pain of Him, Clarke pulling the lever while Dakota stood there watching. He remembered the look upon Dakota's face as she took in the destruction they had caused when they walked back into that Mess Hall.
"We won."
"Quiet!" Indra commanded, coming to a halt in the middle of the field. Her hand was raised, an indicator for everyone to freeze in their position and stop talking. She listened to the sound of the forest and could hear something booming within. "Listen."
Kane turned his head to the direction the sound was coming from. There was a faint banging noise. "War drums," He whispered while Indra lowered her hand.
"Azgeda."
"You can tell it's Ice Nation from the sound?" Monty inquired, highly impressed with the Grounder warrior. Indra shook her head and looked over to her left. "No, from them." Over to the left were several dead bodies decaying away in the hot sun, immediately sparking panic in everyone. Kane dropped to a knee with his weapon on his chest and Pike followed suit, coming over to Kane's side.
"We need to get those bodies off the field! Unless you're good with them thinking we did this!"
"Go. Hurry!" Kane instructed.
"Wait. Two people at twelve o'clock." Bellamy announced and pointed his gun towards the movement in the field and looked through the scope, his eyes widen at the blonde that they were looking for but as soon as he was going to put the gun down, another figure came into frame.
He left the wind get sucked out of his lungs as her brown locks flowed in the hot morning air, how a panicked expression was on her perfectly-imperfect face. All those feelings he had left behind months ago rushed back to the surface with just a glimpse of her, but relief and raw happiness weren't the only emotions to creep up onto him. He had anger boiling inside him, betrayal, hurt. He had trouble getting her name to roll of his tongue as his throat began to tighten. "It's Clarke and Dakota." When he finally said her name, Kane's head snapped to the direction and looked in the scope to see his daughter walking with the Bounty Hunter and Clarke.
