Fire, Fire Will Reign

fire

fire

it breeds within me

it streams from my mind as it streams from this pen;

unknowingly destructive

you might never know...

if something you did, caused a death

if something you did, caused life to spring anew

the seeds we plant in our garden grow slowly

the words we put into life go unnoticed too long

too often by ourselves

The fire we breathe...

Could fry boulders to rubble

Could topple our government

Could make love to our dear

Could kiss my unborn son goodnight

The water that flows from our fingers...

May turn to the Nile, as the Serengeti

May drown the innocent all over again

May fill yr. glass with that Acqua Della Vita we call sweet wine

May flow flawlessly, pointlessly to the sea

The earth that demands its way through yr. eyes...

Will cultivate the Atlantic

Will turn to ash as it must

Wil birth the most beautiful flower never seen

Will mess-up someone's boot and so apartment

The air that gushes from yr. hair...

Will give flight to that dodo playing a game of hide-and-seek

Will travel across the galaxy in its own impossible bubble

Will shoot out of the personal organ of J.S.Bach

Will knock a man, an unsure man, off of a building to his death

For you

yes, you

are the most amazing, impossible, incredulous part of this

this life

this existence

this beauty

This Life... This Love
