Kendall glanced at Cara's door as she walked down the hall, questioning why she had acted so strange. She was mostly wondering why her eyes were green and not the usual golden brown. Cara's eyes had never changed color in front of Kendall and they had known each other since they were in 2nd grade. Kendall knocked on Cara's door and asked

"Hey, Cara, are you okay?"

It was silent for a minute and Cara finally answered, a sort of annoyance in her voice,

"Yes, Kendall, I'm fine."

Kendall backed a step away from the door and shrugged slightly as she went to her room. Kendall was startled and turned around instantly as she heard the sound of breaking wood behind her. Something rammed itself against the front door and was attempting to break in, a long crack in the middle of the door showing it was very large. Rex trotted out and Kendall's room and stood next to her, teeth barred and hair standing up. He began jumping up on Cara's door and barking, trying to get her attention. Cara opened the door and walked into the hallway and stood in front of Kendall. Her face was hairy, her eyes were a glowing bright green, and her hands were claws with hair on them. She looked at Kendall and said, fangs replacing her teeth,

"You need to get out of here. I've protected you this far and I might not be able to keep you safe anymore. If we don't ever see each other again, I just want you to know I love you with all my heart like a sister."

Cara grabbed Kendall's arm and pulled her close into a tight hug. She let go of her and turned back to the door. She growled and changed into a very over sized wolf, clothes ripping apart and falling to the floor. She was a deep brownish color and had a tinge of white on her chest and tail. She barred her giant canines and yelled, voice a little raspy,

"Bring it on!"

With that, the same beast that Kendall had dream of broke the front door down and Kendall's eyes widened with fear. Rex stood next Cara and was as big as her now. His eyes were golden now and he lunged at the creature's throat like in the dream and pinned him down as well.

The beast made a bone chilling sound and somehow flung Rex off of him. It turned and ran into the front yard, Cara following behind and Rex shortly after. Kendall ran after them, watching the creatures battle from the porch. As she got to the door, Cara leapt at the beast and it fell to the ground, the she wolf biting down on the back of its neck. It roared deeper than any creature on the earth and threw Cara off. Cara was thrown onto the ground and got up immediately, teeth barred and tail raised high. Her and Rex leapt at the creature at the same time and was able to get it down finally, limp and cold as they began dragging it away. Cara dropped it for a minute and said to Rex, not knowing Kendall was still standing in the doorway,

"They're looking for Kendall. We need to get her to the Alpha and get her changed. There is no way we're gonna be able to keep her safe. Demons don't just travel in one, they travel in at least five and we won't be able to fight off five with her as a mortal."

Rex dropped the creature as well and said, voice just as it was in the dream,

"How are we supposed to explain all of this to her without her passing out like Luke and Ashley did?"

Kendall blinked realizing her brother was one as well. She was about to fall to her knees since they were shaking so much from fear, it seemed like she would collapse. Cara and Rex picked up the creature and dragged it even faster so they could protect her better and sooner. Cara dropped it and lifted her to howl, the howl a sweet and beautiful song to Kendall's ears.

Three wolves answered back and trotted out of the woods, seeming to pop out of nowhere. Two of them, an all black female with silver eyes and a deep brown male with red eyes, began dragging the dead creature themselves and faster than Rex and Cara attempting to. Kendall walked into the yard, slowly with a petrified but weary look on her features, and the remaining three wolves lifted their heads to her. Cara turned to face her completely and said, attempting to sound calming and soothing,

"Okay I know this looks bad bu-"

The third wolf,  a male who was a nice shade of dark grey with a white face and deep blue eyes, interrupted and said,

"Bad!? She's probably scared to death of us right now! The three of us are eight foot wolves that are talking!", his voice obviously showing he was still halfway a juvenile.

Cara glared at the grey wolf and growled slightly, ears pinned against her head. She perked her ears and looked at Kendall again. Rex stepped forward and said

"Kendall...you are a lycanthrope. It is in your blood but only 75 percent of you is lycanthrope. You are a late changer, or late shape shifter. That is why Cara and I have been sent to keep you safe. We didn't tell you because we knew you weren't ready. When the demons began showing up again, we knew we eventually had to tell you. We just didn't expect it in this short of time."

He looked back at Cara and she gave him a worried expression. He looked at Kendall again and said

"We need to get you to the Alpha wolf, the leader of our pack, Derek. We need to find out why all of this is happening now when you don't need to change until you were twenty five."

Kendall began feeling lightheaded and then fell in the ground. The last she remembered was Rex and Cara yelling her name and running to her. Then she black out.
