I woke up to someone sobbing beside my bed. I turned my aching head to see that my stepmother Jessica Hughes was crying. Actually crying.
"Why are you crying?" I questioned with a still sore throat.
She looked at me."I'm sorry, for everything. Every single thing that I ever did wrong to you. I... I thought I was doing it for your own good... But I never realised you hated it so much." She said teary eyed. Genuinely teary eyed, I must add.
"Its all right. But why did YOU never tell me anything? You could have just told me. Then I wouldn't have minded your behaviour that much." I said chuckling at voicing the stupid thing that has still been haunting me.
"It wasn't my secret to share." She smiled a little hearing me laugh before continuing, "plus you Sam and Shawn were all getting on so well. I didn't want you to feel left out." She sighed. "I always liked you since the moment I first saw you all snuggled up in Jack's arms... Listen, I've got to go now. I have a meeting to attend." She said wiping her eyes and getting up. After kissing my forehead lightly she left.
Some time after she left all my friends came with cake and lollipops. I loved lolipops. I never had many friends to begin with... There was Miko, Shawn, Abby, Luke and Sam. Well, 3 of them were my siblings anyways.
They came in singing "Happy Birthday" off sync. I laughed at them. They set the cake on my lap, and everyone hugged me. I cut the cake with Luke afterwards, apologising for ruining his birthday by being in a medically induced coma. Ah.... so me...

8 Months later,SENIORS GRADUATION
Abby was gifted. Even being a junior, she got into the same college as Shawn. So, she was graduating with us. It was a nice ceremony. The school had arranged it in the local convention centre. After the ceremony we all headed to the after party at Shawn's.
Of course our guardians allowed us to be by ourselves. They said they trusted us now. The whole school showed up at the party. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and the graduating batch. There were also many kids from other schools that I had never seen before.
I was wearing a plain black cold shoulder dress which stopped right before my knees, with a small slit in the left side. I had straightened my hair and put on a dark blood red, almost black lipstick and some mascara.
Shawn and Abby was no where to be seen. Luke was dancing with Ashley, they got together soon after I had been discharged from the hospital.
All the drama had officially ended, I sighed to myself sitting on the couch. I started summarizing it all to myself. I got separated from my twin and mother at birth. I fell for my twin brother. Gross. My twin and I were close now. I got to meet my real mother after breaking and healing 5 bones of my body in total.
I was now a high school graduate, who was going to business school the upcoming fall. Cool life, huh? Well I have to admit too. And after the accident, my "guardians" apologised to my mother and then they didn't have any contact at all. My step mother became her old self, indifferent to me. And I came to like my stepfather, he is a really cool guy who keeps my mother happy.
I was pulled out of my haze when someone sat next to me on the couch. I glanced and saw that a really cute guy sitting next to me. He had black hair, black eyes matching his hair and pale skin making him look like a mannequin at some Calvin Klein store.
"Hey." He greeted in a British accent. 'Aww' I mentally swooned as I greeted back. "Edward." He said as we shook hands.
I snorted unattractively replying "Sally."
"No jokes about twilight please" Edward warned. As I nodded still silently laughing. He laughed along with me.
"You're new?" I asked him without any thoughts as the laughing had eased the tension.
"No, actually. I go to the other high school. We graduate upcoming Saturday. And tomorrow's prom. I'm Luke's friend. He invited me." Edward said smiling at me.
"You know Luke? I'm his twin. It's nice meeting you." I chirped.
"Lets dance?" Edward offered getting up and holding out his hand.
"Sure." I agreed all too eagerly as I really did fall hard for him and he seemed to know it.
