I Fell For My Brother !?!

Chapter 31

           5 years later

"You ready? We could still run away you know?" Dad asked as we were about to walk down the aisle. It was my wedding day, and I was getting married to Edward.  We've had our ups and downs but this time we were here together for the best or worst.

"Yes daddy."  I muttered.

As we entered the church I saw all eyes on me, I glanced at them a bit, but Edward had my attention. He was getting impatient,  I chuckled as I stood right in front of him. As i glanced around the people waiting I saw my mother, stepmother and stepfather waving at me. Abby and Miko were my bridesmaids.  The best man was Shawn whose eyes were glittering with tears on seeing me. After the wedding we went to the wedding reception at the local country club. It all went well.

After college I opened a small restaurant which has been doing well for the last few months. Edward also helps me sometimes. Shawn chose Soccer as his profession and was now in the state team. Luke is going to tell everyone what his decision is at the party today. He said, my wedding deserved a surprise.

Over the last year's, Luke and I had grown really close, not just as a sister but also as a friend. He was now my second best friend if anything of that sort existed. Shawn and Abby had always stayed in touch as promised and moved back to Virginia right after college. Their wedding is in a month.

At the table, everyone gave their toasts and when it was Luke's turn, he turned towards me and Abby and said," To the best twin in the world, Congratulations! I am so happy for you may you have the best happily married life ever! But as I promised, here is my surprise and my decision. But, forst promise me, both Abby and Sally that you guys won't be mad at me after this," after we promised, he continued," well, I've joined the army. And I'm going away 3 months after Abby's wedding. And i hope to be back by the next 4 years..."

I zoned out after that. I didn't really hear what else he said. After my brain was done processing what he said, at least the bit I heard anyways. I blurted out, " Are you fucking kidding me?!? My twin, My TWIN is going to be leaving for 5 friggin years and I am being informed now? Well, you know what? Whatever! I don't even give a shit anymore! Don't even talk to me! " I screamed as I left, after telling the others to enjoy the food and excusing myself.

I ran straight to the washroom, i did not know how to react. I was sad, mostly, but I was also mad at Luke. I was so frustrated right now.

Someone knocked the door.

"What do you want Luke?!" I shouted.

"Forgiveness?" Luke answered from the other side.

"Just shut up! And leave me the fuck alone." I shouted again as I splashed water on my face.

"Okay. I'm leaving. By please, can you at least make my last 4 months here pleasant?" Luke begged as he left.
