Chapter 11- The weirdest ride home

Both of mine and Shawn's parents were out of the town, so there was no option of me calling them. Plus Sam was only 16, he was underaged to drink like me, unlike Shawn. Plus both of us were light weights, unlike Shawn. So, we were stuck at Shawn's and as a part of my punishment from mum, I couldn't sleep over this time round. Ugh! Why did everything have to go wrong, right when I was in trouble?!?

"Hey you need help with him?" Luke said motioning towards Sam.

"Yes, kinda, but I don't have a ride home and am stuck with my drunk brother." I said worriedly as we both stared at Sam lying on the dirty floor.

"Oh, no problem, I will help you get him up and give you a ride home. My mother and stepfather are out for the night." Luke said.

"Oh, thank you so much." I answered happily.

We then got Sam in the car and started for my house.

The silence was deafening except the roaring of the car engine. This time he broke the silence. "You look a lot like my mother." He said totally out of the blue making me run out of words.

"W-what do you mean?" I stammered.
"You have the same eyes as her, the same sharp small nose and also the same structure of the jawline."

I was stunned, what did he mean?!? It made me really puzzled as I thought that my face appearance doesn't match either of my parents. The rest of the ride was just worrying silence. As I ran out of words to speak. I was flabbergasted. That night I did not get any sleep. I didn't even attend school the next day. Around noon I managed to call Shawn over for lunch to spend some time with me and made him bunk school.
