08; why Bokuto?

"Okay, that's enough! Morning practice is over!" The coach announced causing everyone to stop with their doings.

You, on the other hand, took their towels and refreshments to hand it to them, especially everyone was covered with sweats and catching their breaths after the small practice match they held. After venturing to give them their needs, you began to pick the volleyballs scattered on the floor and put them in the basket and decided to clean up the mess inside with the two managers.

"(Name)-chan." You glanced over your shoulder to see the person who called you, only to notice Konoha trudging closer with a smile on his face.

You felt shivers run down your spine once you distinguished that it's not a normal smile that he'd often give you, but a mischievous one that signifies that he had something that he knows that you have no idea about.

"Konoha-senpai?"

"It was a sight to behold with you and Akaashi on the rooftop yesterday." He winked, the whimsical smile only grew wider once he saw that your face turned into a bright red shade.

His statement had rendered you speechless and at the same time stunned. You were in disbelief to know that Konoha had caught you and Akaashi on the rooftop yesterday and neither the two of you detected his presence that was already in the same area as you both were.

How could you not when you hadn't heard the door creaked or any disturbing noises that someone might be watching you two? It was convincing that you did not pay attention to your surroundings. Also... you remembered that you were having a pleasant moment with Akaashi despite the embarrassing scene you have done again. Ugh.

Nevertheless, you would surrender; you were too absorbed by spending time alone with him to even give your meagrest attention around you.

And now that someone caught the both of you, you don't know what you will do. Your mind's in turmoil and your inner self is shrieking, convincing you to dash away to the other side of the world.

You like Bokuto, you truly are, but trusting him to keep a secret by himself is the one thing you won't ever trust him for. Besides, the captain is the closest one to Akaashi and he'd often stick to him like a koala clinging on a tree branch or trunk.

He is known as the boisterous ace and he's oblivious to the things around him. You can even imagine that he would slip and tell it to the setter so how would you be able to calm down?!

Konoha, who was staring at you, exhaled since he knew that your mind was drifting to Bokuto, fretting about him. It's all written on your blanched face. In order for you to stop trembling like a chihuahua, his hand found its way on your head, patting you and assuring you.
