Cecelia's POV
I snuck down the stairs, a bag slung over my shoulder that contained some clothes, a picture of my mum, and a few other necessities. It was currently 9 in the morning, and surprisingly no one was up. Thank god.
I reached the front door and unlocked it, before stepping outside. That god it was summer and warm out. I grabbed the spare key from my pocket that Marianne gave me, in case I ever needed 'space' and wanted to leave for a day.
I locked the door and headed to the place where I calm down the best, the mall. I don't exactly know why, I guess because I actually fit in there? Plus I needed some new maternity tops. Surprisingly, when I went to the mall, I didn't get disapproving looks. I guess because no one knows I'm 16, I could be a short 23 year old.
I started heading down the street to the Metro Centre in Gateshead. The 'biggest mall in all of England!' as it proclaimed on a sign out front. I actually beg to differ, the's a mall in Manchester that seems slightly bigger. The walk was only 2 hours plus a bus ride, but it helped clear my mind a lot.
I got to the Metro Centre around lunch, so I decided to stop at the food court. I was deciding what to go when I remembered that Marianne and I would go to the Cafe Nova. It resembled a little coffee shop, that sold sweets and sandwiches.
I walked in, the mix aroma from coffee and chocolate and bread all filling my nose. I walked up to the cashier and ordered- Turkey sandwich with a Urban latte. It was considered my 'usual' but I didn't come in enough for them to know that.
While I was awaiting my food, I caught two girls staring at me. One had blonde hair and a gorgeous diamond ring on her finger, the other a brunette. I couldn't decided wether they were judging me or not, so I gave them a weak smile, and turned around.
Moments later I felt a tapping on my shoulder, I turn around and say the blond and brunette staring wide eyes at me.
"Hi," I said, a little confused on to why they're there.
"Hi! How far along are you love?" The brunette asked, the smile on her face wider then I had ever seen.
"6 months." I replied.
"You can definitely pull off the whole 'being pregnant' thing that's for sure!" The blond said. I wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not, but if so, that's the nicest compliment I've ever had said to me.
"Thank you. I'm Cece." I introduced my self.
"I'm Perrie, and this is Jesy." The blond said pointing to the brunette, Jesy.
We started talking for a few minutes, asking me typical questions people ask other pregnanted people. I honestly wished my food would hurry up. I never liked the attention on me, it was just something weird I picked up as being an orphan kid. Having wide-eyed hopeful parents stare at you, isn't exactly comforting.
"Order 12!" The cashier yelled and I silently prayed a thank you to the man above.
Perrie's POV.
We got back to the table after Cece's order was called. I wasn't gonna lie, I kinda envied her. I mean, I wanted children, and I don't know why, but I just at this moment in time wanted to be a mom. I guess because everyone around me seems to be pregnant, or taking care of children.
"Perrie?" Jesy asked.
"Yeah?"
"What's wrong?" Dang it.
"Nothing's wrong." She gave me a look that said I-Know-You're-lying-but-I'll-leave-you-alone-so-I-don't-ruin-the-day.
"So, what stores do you want to go in?" She asked.
"I dunno know." I replied, still looking at Cece.
"Okay, well I was thinking Blooming Dales. They updated their junior section...." Jesy trailed off but I was still focused on Cece.
"Yeah, yeah that's cool. Hey I wonder why Cece is alone."
"Perrie! You aren't even paying attention to me!" Jesy said smacking my arm.
"Sorry, I just, I don't know. I feel this weird connection towards her. You know?" I asked.
"You're just being weird."
"Hey, Cece! Why don't you join us?" I asked, before she sat down at the empty table. She nodded her head and walked over to us.
"You looked lonely. Do you want to hang out with us today?" Jesy asked, being her polite self.
"Um, yeah but I have to be back at the orph- house at 3, so yeah." She replied trying to cover up her 'mistake' but I clearly heard her.
"You're an orphan?" I said, a little more excited then intended. Jesy gave me a sideways glare, and kicked me under the table.
"Yes. My um parents, well my mother died, and my father left." She said, a hint of sadness and anger in her voice.
"I've been there for a year, but I've been through like 6 foster parents. They say I'm 'too much to handle' because of my baby. I just wave them off tho, because, well, I don't know. I just don't take it to heart." She said and I couldn't help but feel hopeful. She doesn't take hate to heart, that's like my dream child right now. Oh gosh, that sounds creepy.
"Well, I'm sorry and I think you deserve a shopping spree! On me!" Jesy said getting all excited. She always liked buying things for girls, I don't exactly know why, but yeah.
"Oh, you don't have to-"
"Nonsense! She insists!" I said smiling at Jesy.
Cece giggled and finished her sandwich. We were talking about random things, mostly consisting of Cece's baby, and wether it was a girl or boy- girl- and how Jesy insisted she threw a baby shower.
"Oh, honey it's fine, it will be Perrie, me, are friends Leigh-Anne and Jade! You'll love them! They're in a band with us, called Little Mix." She smiled and agreed after minutes of persuading.
"Okay, so we should definitely go to blooming dales first and then take a trip to the maternity shop and then, that baby store." Jesy said planning out the day. We nodded our head and picked up our trays to go throw them away.
I got home, exhausted from shopping. I got Cece's number, as did Jesy, so we could plan the baby shower. I really liked her, and I felt bad for her. I have a feeling something happened between her and her father, the way she said his name sent chills down my spine.
Zayn wasn't home yet, which wasn't a surprise as it was only 3:30 in the afternoon and he doesn't get done till 4, including his hang-out time with the boys.
I sighed, and went to sit on the couch. I turned on the tv and started watching America's Next Top Model, because that was the only thing on. It was tiring really, watching these girls with pounds of make up on, try to 'out pretty' the others.
I hadn't realised that I dozed off until I heard the front door closed, and a tired looking Zayn walked over to me, kissing my forehead.
"Hey baby, how was shopping?" he asked, sitting down and looking at me.
"Good, we ran into a girl names Cece. She's an orphan and 6 months pregnant, so we treated her to a day of shopping. She was really sweet. We're planning her baby shower."
"So you're planning a strangers baby shower?" he asked, clearly amused.
"Yes and no. She doesn't really have friends, so we're throwing her one, with Leigh-Anne and Jade. Hey, I was thinking..." I trailed off looking in his eyes.
"We're not adopting a stranger." He said.
"She's not a stranger. I know a lot about her. She's 16, loves the colour purple, she had a terrible past- which she opened up to us about surprisingly- and she's having a girl. She is -"
"Okay Per, I get it. Let me think about it? Plus, I would have to meet her, and get to know her my self. Knowing you, I assume you guys got her number." He smiled knowingly when he saw my eyes light up.
"Can I call her? Schedule a time to meet her." He asked, and I handed him my phone.
