Cece P.O.V

The next morning I woke up feeling refreshed. I got up, and took a shower, letting the warm water wash away the stress. I used the new body wash that Perrie got me, and it felt very relaxing. It's weird, I started thinking, that once you wake up feeling different, everything else feels different. Your thoughts feel different, your normal routine feels different, depending on your mood. Everything I do feels energized, where as usually I feel drained to do something. I was 6 months pregnant, so feeling drained was just something I associated with that, but today... today is different.

After my shower, I went to the newly stocked closet. In three months, I probably won't be able to wear half of this stuff, and will have to go get new clothes. I pulled on a pair of dark jeans, with a maroon colored top. The top was silky, and loose. I decided natural makeup looked the best with this outfit, as well as a pair of black flats. I ran a brush through my hair, and brushed my hair. I was ready for whatever the day brings me.

I went to the door and opened it. Sobbing could be heard all the way up the stairs... oh boy. Not this again. I proceeded to walk down the stairs, and followed the sobs until I reached the source: Perrie.

Zayn sat across from her, looking distraught.

"What's wrong?" I asked, sitting down next to Perrie at the kitchen table.

"Um, well, I have decided to quit my job." Zayn said, fiddling with the coffee cup. I was a little confused, from what I could tell he loved the band. Why he was leaving, I didn't know, but I knew pushing the subject wouldn't help.

"Oh, well, I don't really know what to say," I said, honestly. Zayn just nodded, before reaching across the table, and placing his hand on my arm. I flinched instinctively, which made Zayn look up with the most sincere look on his face. Oh, god.

"Listen, Cece, I hate to do this, I honestly do. You see, every once in a while, people need a break. They need a break from their job, their relationships, their life. I think I have reached that point right now, I just need some me time, something that doesn't exist when you're famous. I decided to quit One Direction, I sign the papers today. I also decided that I should take a break from us, before I hurt anyone I love. Cece, please don't give me that look, it's honestly better. I don't want you to have another bad father-daughter relationship."

I pulled my arm away from him; I understood, but I didn't understand.

"Did I cause this?" I asked.

"No! Oh, god, no. I just, this is all on me." Zayn stated, reaching out and placing a hand on my shoulder. Part of me didn't believe him, but the other part didn't want to leave.

"I know I caused a lot more stress coming here, I mean what 22 year olds want to take care of a 16 year old. But I swear I will do whatever I need to, to cause less stress. I-"

"Cece, there is nothing you can do. This is my decision, and my decision alone. I need a break, but I will keep in contact with you, I promise."

"Promises are meant to be broken," I said. I turned in my seat, and got up. I walked over to the sink, daring to not let the tears fall from my eyes.

"No they're not, not unless you do it right," Perrie said, standing up.

"Look, Zayn may have his flaws, but he's not your dad. If he makes a promise, he keeps it." Perrie continued.

"Why are you defending him! He promised he would be by your side as soon as he asked you to marry him, and now he's bailing!" I couldn't help but yell.

"He never promised anything because we never made it to that part, and that is better than making a promise and breaking it. Please understand, we didn't intend for this to happen, and honey, I still want you. I still want to keep you. You are mine now, Cece, and I won't ever give you up. I know that is what you're afraid of, I see it in your eyes. Fear is stupid, and so are regrets. I will not let you go." Perrie engulfed me in a hug. Somehow this got brought on to me, even though she was right; I hugged her back.

"I'm sorry," I stated, letting the tears fall freely now. I didn't care anymore, they've seen me at my worst anyways.

"Don't apologize for anything. Now, are you ready? I'm going to go up and get dressed so we can have a well deserved girls day!" Perrie said, a bright un-forced smile spread across her face. I couldn't help but smile back, and nod my head.

Perrie went back upstairs, and disappeared into her bedroom. Zayn sat down here, moving his coffee cup in circles. There was an uncomfortable silence between us. I didn't know what to say, let alone what to do. Do I trust him, or not?

Zayn cleared his throat, and looked over to me.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked.

"Mad? No, there's nothing to be mad about. Disappointed, however, yes, very disappointed." I moved towards the pantry, and grabbed the cereal box.

I made myself a bowl of cereal, the only thing I can make without burning the house down. I sat down across from Zayn, and started eating my cereal.

Zayn started chuckling.

"What?" I asked, looking around.

"You've taught me something, y'know."

"What's that?"

"To never forget the memories." Zayn smiled at me, and winked, before getting up. He grabbed his jacket from the coat rack in the foyer, and his keys from the table out in the hall.

Just like that, he left.

A little while later Perrie and I met up with Jesy at a cute little coffee shop down town. It was simple and elegant, the theme was black, white and vintage. I felt like I was in the fifties in this shop.

Jesy bought us coffee, in honor of 'an amazing day out with my girls' she stated. I loved Jesy, and she grew close to me. I love Jade and Leigh-Anne of course, but Jesy and I just have that special connection.

"Okay, so how about we hit the salon, and get our hair done after this, maybe then go to the mall and do a little shopping?" Jesy suggested.

"Sounds good to me. Cece, you in?" Perrie asked.

"Yeah, sure!" I have never really gotten my hair done before, so this will be interesting.
