I slowly made my way up to the door, the music inside the bar was so loud you could hear it from a block away. The vibrations from the beat made my steps even shakier. I shut my eyes tightly and took a deep breath before pushing open the door, almost everyone was drunk and the smell of alcohol was overwhelming and thick in the air. I slowly made my way around the bar, looking for the nicest looking serpent in there, which was extremely hard to do by the way. There was one serpent in the corner who was having a calm conversation with someone else, I got closer to listen to them. Apparently the guy with his back to the corner was called FP. While patiently waiting for the other man to leave I played with the collar of the leather jacket and questioned whether or not I should do this. I slowly walked over when it was just him and he immediately locked eyes with me, before looking me up at down. I cleared my throat and pushed myself to speak 'I need to be strong for my mom' I thought to myself before opening my mouth "My name is Rachel Greyson, I'm-" he cut me off "Bridgets daughter" he said and I slowly nodded "yup, that's me." I said and shifted uncomfortably before speaking again "She can't do this anymore, my mom is a different kind of person, she's sweet, caring, and sensitive. She's having an extremely hard time and I can't lose my mom" I finished with confidence. He thought for a minute, his hand on his chin "I can't just have one of the serpents abandoni-" it was my turn to cut him off "I'll take her place, I'm not as innocent as I look" I said quickly, it was incredibly stupid but I was desperate to get her out of there. After another pause for him to think he agreed "that jacket is yours now kid, I'll see ya tomorrow"
