Vic's Pov

I was really starting to hate how the rest of these people treat others. Especially people that are special; like Jaima.

It was the first real time that I went out to explore the town and Jaima was nice enough to show me around my unexplored area. We just simply walked and talked about everything and anything there was to talk about and we both were enjoying our time with each other. She would also point out what street we were on or what significant place that she liked or knew.

We took a break from walking so Jamia wanted to go to the park to relax and I wasn't opposed to that. When we got to the nearest park we sat against a tall shady tree and that's when Jaima got into conversation.

"So, lover boy" she smirked slyly, "You've managed to hook the Kellin Quinn on your line, huh?"

I raised my eyebrow in confusion, slightly taken aback by the sudden question.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Don't play coy, Victor," she rolled her eyes with a smile playing on her lips, "I mean, he's even got a special little name for you and everything."

"He calls it a nickname," I shrugged, "I don't really know what it means, though"

"He just shortened your name, bud," she giggled, "but it's cute...stud"

"Hey! That's what Kellin ca-"

"Yes, Victor...I already know" Jaima giggled as she shook her head.

Suddenly, a dark shadow loomed over us and we looked up to be greeted by 5 guys in plaid and nice hair. They sneered at us from above; some cracking their knuckles, others pounding their fists to their hands for dramatic effect. They didn't scare me, but they surely scared Jaima.

"Well, well, well" one of them sickly laughed, "look what we have here, boys."

I could feel Jaima tense up from beside me, she discreetly scooted closer behind me and hide under my arm.

"The tranny and the town freak," he spat, the saliva landing directly on my cheek.

Now, I don't usually get angry; though the way that Jaima is shaking behind me and the down right disrespect that I just received made my very blood boil. I stood up and knocked the guy down to the ground pinning his arm behind his back in an awkward position. He whined like a fucking baby and his goons instantly booked from my sudden action.

"Apologies," I demanded.

"I'm sorry!" he instantly squawked.

"Not to me but to Jaima" I coldly spat, "You scared her"

"Sorry! Sorry!" he whimpered, "please just let go!"

I rolled my eyes and let go of his arm then watched him scurry away from us like a coward. Jaima stood up from behind me and hugged me from behind, burying her face into my back.

"I hate those guys," she muttered to my shirt.

"How come they do that?" I questioned.

"I don't know, they have nothing better to do, probably," she sighed, shrugging her shoulders.

"I meant to you," I responded.

"Have you seen me?" she laughed bitterly, "I'm your typical class A pantywaist. Why not me, is the question."

Hearing Jaima's dry humor about her situation had gotten me very angry and sad at the same time, I was 'sadgry' as Mike liked to call it. But it really bothered me that she was the only one getting picked on.
