Alastair woke long before Persephone, up before the sun dared to rise. Being a vampire, he had no need to sleep, though he could. Laying with his arm curled around the small waist of his beloved, he couldn't have been more content. He had to admit, their adventure to the dungeon the morning before had not helped his image in Persephone's eyes. Alastair was not blind, nor did he deceive himself, he knew of the terror he caused in her. He knew that she felt as if she was laying with the devil. There had to be something he could do to bring her around, their connection was dull on her end, her fear easily overpowering it, if he could stop her fear, she may be more willing to fall into his arms. He had to think of something, the other thing was a last resort, she would surely hate him for eternity if he did that. Or, would she.
Sighing, Alastair traced his fingers down the curve of Persephone's body before finally shadowing his arm around her's and pulling her heat towards him. Then it hit him, exactly the way to start over fresh, in a way he knew she'd enjoy. Smiling to himself, Alastair kissed the side of his love's head before burying his face in her hair, happy to simply enjoy the feel of her body next to his until she awoke.

Alastair reclined in a plush arm chair opposite of Persephone, watching at she picked at her breakfast. Today's breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, and hash browns. She had eaten a couple bites for looking up pleadingly at him.Alastair crossed his ankle onto his knee, "Eggs." Persephone's eye brows furrowed. "What, my love?"
She tucked her chin in submission, not wanted to meet his eyes for fear of finding anger in them, before finally replying in a small voice, "There's just a lot of them."
Alastair eyed her, feeling her anxiety, before glancing at the plate, he supposed there was a lot, but she still had not eaten enough. "Half the eggs, and some potatoes."
She nodded, her head still turned down, before picking at the food again.
"I had an idea for today, I believe it will be a better day than yesterday," Persephone couldn't stop at the snort of indignation that forced its way out from his words, Alastair chose to ignore it, continuing on, "I was thinking maybe a tour of my grounds, my garden would be nice."
Persephone's head peeked up at the word 'garden,' she had always loved the beauty of flowers, but that wasn't her only reason to be excited to go outside.
Alastair smirked at her reaction and continued on, "Of course you will have to be properly dressed, cannot have you exposed to any men on the property, and we will not leave this spot until you have finished your breakfast- slow down, darling, you will make yourself sick," he chuckled slightly at the sight of Persephone hurriedly forcing eggs into her mouth so she could leave sooner, at his words she froze for a second before reminding herself to slow down, a blush traveling across her cheeks.
The right of the pink tint in her face made Alastair's fangs grow, now prominent in his smile. Rising, he crossed the living space to where she was and planted a kiss on her head before moving towards the adjacent bathroom, "I'll call Martha to ready you for our outing."
