Chpt. 2

Dinners with my family can either go one of two ways.

Either we all argue and disagree or we all end up cracking jokes, talking about old times, and having a good time. Thankfully, this time it was an enjoyable dinner. I couldn't stop laughing, I have to admit, my family can be very funny. Especially my parents.

That's the thing I love about my family. We all have a good sense of humor. Even our grandparents and cousins do too.

We spent three hours at the dinner table just talking and laughing and having a good time.

"Let's take a night walk on the beach!" my mom says standing up from the table. "Yeah we can take some pictures too. I have my camera." My dad adds standing up too.

When we get to the beach it's dark but the stars and the moon in the sky help give us a little light.

"Ok guys stand in front of the water." My dad says turning the camera on.

All the kids stand in a line with our arms around each other and smile for the camera.

"Alright mom you get in it too." My dad says after taking two pictures of us.

She squeezes in between my youngest siblings and we all smile for another picture.

"Here honey you get in one too." My mom says holding her cardigan closed because the wind keeps making it fly back. She walks up to my dad and takes the camera from him. He replaces my moms spot and we all smile for the camera again.

"Too bad we can't get one with all of us. These are turning out really good." My mom says showing us the pictures we took.

My mom looks around the beach and spots a person standing by the lifeguard chair. "I'll be right back." My mom says walking over to the person.

The rest of my family sighs because of her actions. "Why does she always do this?" Hayley asks. "I know I'm tired and done with these pictures." Tyler says and Hayley agrees with him.

"This nice young man Harry said he'll take a picture for us, isn't that nice?" my mom says obviously happy he said yes to her.

"He's cute." Hayley whispers to me as we walk back to our spots. I nod in agreement.

Harry counts to three and takes two pictures. "Here you go." Harry says and hands the camera back to my mom. "These are lovely, thank you so much." My mom says admiring the pictures.

"Have a nice night." Harry says before walking away from us. I look up from the camera and see him walking to where he was with his eyes looking back at me with a smirk formed on his lips.

It's a good thing it's dark or my family would be making fun of me for blushing.

"I'm going to head to bed. Hayley, Tyler , don't be out too late. You two are too young to be out until two in the morning with a bunch of adults around here. And Emily and Matt, behave your selfs please. Have a good night." My mom says giving us all a kiss on the forehead.

"Actually I'm exhausted." Hayley says yawning. "I am too." Tyler says. "Ok then let's get you guys to bed." My dad says as they leave Matt and I alone on the beach.

"What should we get into tonight?" I ask Matt as we walk back up to the resort. "How about we take a trip to the bar?" he asks and I agree with him right away. I could use a drink.

"What can I get you two?" The bartender asks us when we sit at the counter. "Can I get a shot of whisky?" Matt asks. His request kind of shocked me, he doesn't usually drink that. "Make it two." I say smiling at the women and then turning my attention to my brother.
