Feelings For Jaylin Have Evolved

One month later and Jaylin is just fine. Happier than ever. She feels blessed that she's surrounded by three amazing guys and loves them dearly. Ms. Hilary, Greyson's mom, has been checking in on Jaylin after she heard what happened. And Ms. Hilary has taken Jaylin away from the boys for a while--feeling as though Jaylin needs some girl time.

As Jaylin and Ms. Hilary shop, Jaylin upholds her positivity.

"I'm so glad you're doing well," she tells Jaylin.

"It's all thanks to Greyson, Beau, and Zach," Jaylin says. "They're the ones who have been by me through this whole thing."

"I'm really sorry I wasn't here sooner. My job constantly needs me and--"

"It's okay. Really."

As Jaylin returns to looking through clothes, Ms. Hilary examines her. The way you can see the line of tears on the waterline of Jaylin's eyes. And the way Jaylin forces the corners of her lips upward. How she occasionally presses her lips into a line for a second to hold back tears. How she lets her hair shield her from the world.

"What's wrong?" Ms. Hilary asks.

"Nothing," Jaylin says. "The vent is just blowing down on my face and it makes my eyes water."

"Honey, look at me," Ms. Hilary says.

Jaylin looks at Ms. Hilary and Ms. Hilary hugs her. Jaylin wills her tears away and smiles at Ms. Hilary.

"Wanna tell me about the day it happened?" She asks.

Jaylin shakes her head. "I can't."

"It'll help," Ms. Hilary insists.

Meanwhile at Beau's, the boys are playing BS. Zach just won and Beau and Greyson are keeping the game rolling to see who will go in second place.

"Guys, I feel bad for Jaylin," Zach says.

"We all do. Four fives," Greyson says.

"Three sixes," Beau sets three cards down. "At least she's doing better. She seems happy."

"Two things, bro. BS, and we don't know if she's really happy. She could be masking it," Greyson says.

As Beau takes the cards in the pile back, he rolls his eyes and Zach says, "All we can do is what we've been doing. Be there for her."

"You guys," Beau sets his cards down. "I think I like her."

"You can't like her," Zach says. "She's been through enough."

"Yeah, what the hell, Beau?" Greyson sides with Zach.

"I know, I know. But I like her. It's not like I'm gonna act on it any time soon. I just like her."
