Walking out his office he bumps in Joseph. "You ok you look crazy." He asks. Lawerence gets on the elevator so does Joseph. "Can't believe my mom hired Cleo. How I'm supposed to stay away from her now? She can't find out that I'm a gang leader." Lawerence said pacing on the elevator floor. Joseph takes his handkerchief and wipes Lawerence face quickly fixing him up.
"You need to get it together before talking to your father. Think of it this way at least you can protect her knowing where she's at most of the day. And you can't keep it a secret forever you will have to tell her one day or she'll never forgive you." Joseph Said. "Why should I care if she hates me? it's not like she's my girlfriend or any special girl." Lawerence says. Joseph folded his arms and whispers, "says the guy that was just pacing about her."
The elevator opens right into the office of his father. Joseph left them alone to talk. "I just talked to my brother he told me about the incident even the girl. I don't want you to get close to her. I have no problems with her being black or nothing like that we're not racist people let me set that straight! But I can't have you falling in love while leading a gang. That's why I had to fire your last assistant, before that I made her life a living hell to scare her away. You was determine to keep her eventually she caved into my demand and I fired her." He said.
Lawerence never saw her again. She moved on out of state with her family and lost every communication with him even had a restraining order placed on him. He knew he had to obey his father commands. "I'm not falling for her she just happened to be in the wrong place, wrong time. And now she's my assistant, what's the big deal? I'm not going soft!" Lawerence shouted. His father laughed and came closer to him. "I know you aren't I just want you to prove it to me." He said.
Lawerence went to the elevator ready to go. "And by the way you need to find that shooter." His father said.
Cleo did everything on the list while he was gone. His desk was messy he had snacks all over and crumbs on the floor. While she was cleaning she found his gun but didn't touch it. She assumed it was just for protection since he's rich. Then she found another in a secret compartment near his trash bin. Some paper work was Lawerence walks in she quickly gets up. "So everything is cleaned and cleaned. Anything else you want me to do?" Cleo asked. "You're free to go" he said.
"What? I only been here for 3 hours." Cleo said. Lawerence sat down on his chair. "You get paid weekly and I'll add a bonus every time so once again you're free to go." He says. Cleo was confused and decided to just leave. She saw Mimi as she walked out the building. "You on your lunch break?" Mimi asked. "No he told me I'm free to go." Cleo says in a low voice. Mimi knew something was up. "What's wrong?" Mimi asked. "He's just a fucking jerk" Cleo said.
She went straight home ready to just forget that kiss it probably didn't mean anything to him. As she was driving home a car nearly crashed into hers. She was angry this day was supposed to be great but it's so shitty.
